            . “i think jessie j’s domino is the perfect new year’s song, but for karaoke.” she noted before taking another sip of her drink. she’d the itch to sing more karaoke ever since her family had done a session over the break to the point that she could be lured out to roseville if they promised a karaoke session just for her. or maybe even for a few other people. “what do you think?” ( @skylarsfm​ )

          .  “sorry to whoever your date is but i need a partner for this dance so get off your feet, rijke jongen!” was her only warning before attempting to pull him towards her to the floor, all i need already starting to play. it was amusing, in a way. honey could have used her training, but she’s not as sober as she was earlier and why would she use ‘spy’ moves in a school dance? “i learned a little dutch over the break, just so you know. now come on, it’s a fun song. let’s have fun!” ( @casiraghis​ )

        .  “what if we don’t have dates?” she said out loud to dana as she watched the couples on the dance floor as a slow song came up. “we can slow dance with our friends, right?” she asked the other, looking up at them. ( @ofspeedinglights​ )

         .  it was still early on in the night that she’s only on her first drink and enjoying chloe and halle’s melodies on ‘do it’ when she nudged the nearest person for a random conversation. “happy happy holidays gallagher sister. how are the vibes tonight for you?” even if, when prompted, she herself won’t tell the truth about how tonight might just be a vehicle for her to gain some kind of enjoyment. cheer herself up, she supposes.         .  “ria, baby!” and she was off with her - perhaps tenth? - flute of bubbly and she felt unstoppable. of course, her initial confidence and determination to have fun may have something to do with it but the drink most likely helped. “you look so fab! have you danced with many lucky gentlemen tonight?” ( @riaflicke​ )

          . in her head, her secrets related to gallagher were all stashed in one box in the corner somewhere. the secret societies, dognapping scooby with rei, and those emails about the brotherhood members which felt like a lifetime ago. and it might as well have been a lifetime ago, so approaching faith with no ulterior motive to hunt down brotherhood members in their midst should be easy.. right? she held up a glass of juice - just juice - and masked on some form of enthusiasm. “i think someone just referred to me as their ‘new year’s resolution’ but i walked away before they could explain why. but i’m curious now as to what they meant.” ( @fxithrush​ )

          . “totally not the new year just yet but happy new year!” sure, the semester ended kind of rocky and glum but going home to her family over the break reinvigorated her energetic side. the caspars can do that to you, she thinks. “did you know that some people think polka dots can bring you good luck on new years eve? i’m kinda wondering what kind of thing my good luck would bring me with this dress.” ( @kassamigos​ )
