See now I’m really curious what type you think she is. I’ve never actually read past the first book, but being a huge mbti nerd I totally agree that she’s not an infj.

I'm pretty sure she's INTJ. Tbh this is the first time I've ever seen her typed as an F at all, but it doesn't surprise me since she's female and cares about social causes. I normally see her typed as ISTJ, presumably because she's so "BUT THE RULES," except she's only "BUT THE RULES" for like five minutes, then she's all "LET'S MAKE AN ILLEGAL POTION IN AN OFF-LIMITS BATHROOM." I think people put too much weight on her behavior at age 12, even though MBTI doesn't work for kids/fictional kids who are actually written like kids. Ehh, I'd have to read the books again before I'd be willing to call it for sure, but I have almost no doubts she's NOT an F at all. She's straight-up TJ: schedules! Lists! Facts! Statistics! Efficiency! INFJs are like "tell me about your problems and innermost thoughts" Hermione is like "stop being idiots and read a book for once in your lives jeez."

DAFFODIL: What’s the most thoughtful present you’ve ever received?gosh this is hard because I have a really bad memory. a lot of my dad’s gifts for me are really touching because he lives in florida and while he doesn’t spend much on the gifts it’ll be “things that made him think of me” while he’s out. so when he comes to visit he’ll have like a bag full of odd sized clothes and a stuffed animal or something from thrift stores. but I love getting them because it’s from my dad. c:

LOCUST: What was your favorite book as a child?you mean besides the entire Harry Potter series?? (book three if you want to be specific.) Okay, well HP aside I really liked this middle school series called Sweet Valley Twins. (and all it’s various Sweet Valley Kids/Sweet Valley High/Sweet Valley University.) I absolutely loved these, but there were SO many I never got around to reading/collecting them all.

Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.

I don’t know if it was the best but the only one that specifically comes to mind, which I can’t even tell you what age I was turning, involved having a few of my friends over and we went out to midnight bowling or a diner or something I don’t know we did a thing and it was really late at night. My birthdays are largely uneventful I feel like xD;

Talk about the thing you are most proud of.

Winning that fricking Best Supporting Actor award from my college drama club for my performance in Great Expectations. Cause let me tell you when I first got what role(s, as it turned out) I was cast in, I was not that excited about being in that show. But that was the show that made me realize “oh, hey, maybe I am actually really good at this acting thing. Maybe trying to pursue this as a career isn’t a pipe dream”. (Fast forward a year and a half later and still no hint of progress on that front lolol i.e. that post from earlier) Cause idk I always knew I had a bit of a natural performance ability. But me being me I’d usually just shrug it off as “yea I’m good I guess but I’m not that good”. (Me and pride have this really weird relationship) Also that was just kind of the show where I really finally broke out of my shell and connected with everyone. So maybe not so much the award, but the show itself. Of course after I got the award I managed to get myself in a funk and the rest of the night became fairly miserable hahaha go me

Talk about your worst fear.

I dunno really... maybe just... existing. Like never feeling like I’m going to accomplish anything significant and just keep maintaining this mundane subsistence lifestyle. Not really being a proactive person will put those kind of thoughts in your head.

On other note I’m reeeeaaally not a fan of heights. At least when I’m not secure. Like put me in a plane I’m fine. Put me by a five stories up large pane window and I will probably stay away from it. Balconies are right out.

Talk about something someone told you that meant a lot.

Unfortunately nothing really jumps to mind... or at least was significant enough for the words to stick into my head. Idk I feel really bad about not being able to come up with anything. Random facts and stuff I can pull out of my head like that but memories and emotions mystify me apparently. At least my own ones anyway.

Talk about your favorite part of someone else’s body.

I believe I’ve mentioned this before (to you at least) but I really do love your eyes. Especially when I can see just how blue they are. :)

You know, I’m really not sure... I’ve slept through some things, been woken up by others... Have to lean on the side of not though.

What makes you laugh no matter what?

That one scene in Baccano where Isaac is telling the story of the Rail Tracer with the sudden dramatic music and lighting change... I bust up every time.

Who do you feel most comfortable talking to about anything?

Or else my best friend back home maybe. It’s rather hard to gauge those things when you don’t make much of a habit of talking to people in the first place xD;

What are you looking forward to?

The next time I get to see you. :)

Aside from the obvious, the school year being done I suppose. Not that I’m looking forward to camp but more just not being required to be around certain kids at certain schools and having to get up at 5 am to do so.

Are you a forgiving person?

Absolutely. The word “grudge” is not in my vocabulary.

What is your all-time favorite romance movie?

Does Tangled count? lol

I’m sure Princess Bride does at least. (I’m sorry I haven’t watched too many of those kinds of movies. I’m sure you can understand why lol)

Your thoughts on long distance relationships?

Well considering I’m currently in one... It definitely sucks not being able to see or be near the person you love as often as you’d probably prefer. But... in some ways it’s good to remove the distraction of getting wrapped up in the physical aspects of a relationship. Really all you have is words most of the time. And building a solid communication base with your significant other is definitely a good thing to have.

What’s a strange habit that you have?

For some reason, most of the time when I’m sitting at my computer in a relatively private setting, I end up perching on my chair like L from Death Note. It’s amazing how unconsciously I’ll end up in that position. Sitting normally just isn’t as comfortable apparently. (Also the position improves brain activity by blah blah percent apparently - L)

Can you sing well?

You would ask this.

Personally I think so. The music director for the one musical production I auditioned for in high school complimented me on my voice. Also having a very good natural ear helps. I enjoy matching harmonies :) I tend to gravitate toward those lines more than melodies usually.

Good luck getting me to sing full volume anywhere outside of my car though.

Would you like to live in another country?

I really don’t know. The idea itself sounds interesting but when I think about the logistics I start stressing about adapting to cultural differences and communication barriers… Some people might find that sort of thing exciting but mostly it just kinda makes me uncomfortable.

What’s something you’d like to be better at?

Drawing, by far. So many things in my head that I would love to make the transition to a physical medium. Unfortunately I don’t have the resolve to practice practice practice. xD;

How old were you when you learned to ride a bike?

I can’t recall when I learned to ride a bike as accurately as where. Age-wise I think I was like 8/9ish? I definitely remember my mom taking me to the parking lot of the TV station my dad worked at at the time and doing the go-rounds without training wheels there. That’s the place where I remember the whole technique “clicking” anyway.

What would you name your daughter if you had one?

Oh okay, so, this is one of those questions that I’ve always wanted a chance to answer or at least talk about.

First off if I was only going to have one kid (which honestly I’d kind of prefer, maybe two. I don’t see myself enjoying having a huge family cause 1) introvert problems and 2) working with kids in large groups being my job problems), I’d want it to be a girl.

Secondly, I may be tooting my own horn here but, I’d love to name her one name in particular that I made up. The other side of nerd problems from naming your kids after characters. Which I guess still applies because it’s a name I made up for one of my characters: Aléstra. Honestly I’m just really proud of the name because it came out of my head and strikes me as a very beautiful name. Also the character it belongs to is really the only female character of mine I have an attachment to. All the others were kind of one-offs but she has stuck around for a while. Incidentally, in the fictional language her name comes from, Aléstra translates to something along the lines of “light of hope”.

Of course if we’re talking conventional names here I’ve kind of always wanted a daughter with the name Alex. Gender neutral names amuse me.

How old were you when you found out Santa wasn’t real?

You know, I’m not really sure? I’m not even sure if I ever really believed he was real. My parents never played it up. Really the only time I remember them going out of their way to play along with the whole Santa thing was when my sister (the older of the two) was in kindergarten and came home from school with “reindeer food” (I don’t even remember what was actually in it, something like glitter and maybe something else that was actually edible) and so they spread it out on the snow in front of the townhouse where we lived at the time and the next day when we woke up had made it look like reindeer and a sleigh had left tracks where the food had been. Otherwise there was just the occasional present under the tree from “Mr. C” or with no name, which were usually gifts for the whole family to enjoy, but there wasn’t really any smoke and mirrors to it.
