I know that the monster within is a horror game but I got ask a soft question ...

For the ros and mcs sister: how would they like an mc that is generally into giving platonic affection. Like lots of hugs and head pats.

Lol, I would call it more of an action horror story. But don't worry. The best horror has some fluff in it too and I accept all of them.

Nyliem: Mc is about the only person she would allow to be affectionate with her. Otherwise she's pretty touch averse. But yeah, she would welcome mc's affection and return it with all the care in the world. Expect it to turn into a competition over who can give the most affection to the other. 🤣

Tatiana: She's more rough than affectionate but she would welcome it. It reminds her of her days growing up where her mother and father would hug her or her brother would pet her when she did something good.

Caleb: A bit off put by it since he never really had it but would immediately embrace it and love it. THIS IS THE ONE THING HE'S ALWAYS NEEDED, HE JUST DIDN'T KNOW IT.

Tracker: would be very off put by it. He's never really experienced it and doesn't know how to react to it. But he will learn eventually. In the meantime, a pat or a light touch is better.

Daniella: you're speaking her language. Expect it to be returned tenfold. What's that? You can't get two feet away from each other without hugging or petting each other?

Lucky: She accepts but expect her to turn it into something dirty in a heartbeat. Gotta convince her this is nothing dirty in the making, just affection. She would accept it afterwards but yeah, be upfront about it, lest she turns it wierd.

Woooo TMW is sooooo good! I mean oof you really had me feeling things today for Ny and MC (as an older sister it hits different poor bbys) ty for this seriously I'm literally reading the demo again as I type this because I love it so much!^^ Thank you so much for sharing this and for your hard work!^^ Also quick question how old is the MC supposed to be since we know Ny's age is 19 I figured the MC is around 16 maybe 17 maybe?

Mc and Ny have a five year difference, so 11 pre timeskip and 14 post timeskip. And to set others straight as well, Caleb is the same age as mc and Tatiana is two years older, so 16 during ep 1.

As you can see, it's a big difference the two have so you can understand now why Ny is very overprotective of mc. Thanks again for the ask. I love to talk about my works with all of you. 😁

The Monster Within Characters summaries:

A couple of things first: these aren't all of the characters. Just the ones of immediate importance. I left some out that may or may not be a bit spoilery, including a possibly RO that I'm debating whether they'll be an RO or not. Also these are divided into demo and non-demo characters. The names are clear enough: demo are the ones you'll meet on the demo and the others won't appear in the demo. Enjoy the read.

Nyliem: MC's older sister and the leader of the pack. She's tough, sarcastic, and snark is her second language. She's also protective of her younger sibling and extends that protectiveness to the entire pack. This protectiveness causes her to be stubborn and sometimes be more antagonistic to others than needed.

ROs:

Demo:

Tatiana: She's Nyliem's second in command along with the mc. She's tough, serious, no-nonesense, and aggressive. She rarely holds back her thoughts and is protective of the pack (and the mc if romanced.)

Caleb: He's the kind and caring member of the group. He's shy but honest and is always looking out for the group. He's also easy to blush and will develop a crush on either Nyliem or the MC depending on your choices. Eventually he becomes something like a healer for the group. Though he's also the muscle too as his werewolf form is particularly aggressive compared to an average werewolf.

Tracker: A werewolf who grew up in captivity by hunters. Treated like an animal all his life, he doesn't really understand social norms or how to behave. He simply follows Nyliem's command without a second thought. But eventually he will develop a loyal and protective personality. His romance is probably gonna be a slow burn.

Daniella: (debatable whether you'll meet her in the demo or not.) Younger sister of Amara, a pack leader from another pack and the diplomat of that pack. She's sweet and kind hearted but also determined and decisive. She's not afraid to call out bullshit when she sees it even from her own sister. Unlike her sister, she also develops a friendly relationship with Nyliem, if at times a bit confrontational due to Nyliem's personality.

Non Demo:

Amara (not an RO): Leader of another pack you'll meet at the end of act 1. She's serious and speaks only when needed. She's imposing and takes control of the room by just standing there. The only characters that treat her with humor and familiarity are Daniella and Lucky. Nyliem and her don't get along and develop a mutual dislike for each other.

Lucky: Another member from Amara's pack. She's a party goer, cheerful, playful, flirty as hell, and the happiest member in any room. She will particularly like an mc who cracks a joke in almost every situation.
