1. Danielle

Danielle had the worst styling and the most boring/limited set up. Seriously. what the fuck are those temporary tattoos? And the set would’ve been cooler if it was shot from varying angles. It’s really amazing that Danielle was able to get something this good with those limitations. I love the way she’s interacting with the set, almost like she’s melting into the flowers. She did a great job of creating curves with her body, and she also positioned her limbs perfectly to sell the shoes and bracelets. Her dreamy face is fabulous as well. The judges acted like Danielle had the worst picture and was saved by her go-sees performance, but I fully disagreed since she ended up with my favorite shot of the week and I think she deserved the top spot at panel.

The go-sees challenge happened this week, and since actual numbers were given to us I decided to list what the contestants booked. They had to see five designers, and each could book the girls for runway and/or photos (allowing for up to 10 bookings). The bookings don’t affect my rankings, I just wanted to list them for fun!

2. Elza

Yet again I believe that Elza had better shots, but this is still a rock solid showing. Her cutesy robotic pose meshes perfectly with the styling, which she modeled quite well (especially the shoes). She actually looks fantastic with pink hair, and her wide-eyed doll-like expression is excellent. This picture doesn’t blow me away or anything, but I don’t have any major complaints about it either. I’m mildly surprised that Elza advanced to the final 3 since the judges weren’t super enthusiastic about her, but I’m glad she made it there.

3. Michaela

I have mixed feelings about Michaela’s picture. Her face is absolutely stunning, she handled the makeup well and her piercing eyes are really alluring. However, I’m not sold on her pose; her top and bottom halves seem slightly disconnected. As marvelous as her legs are I think she placed her lower half too close to the camera which is throwing off her proportions. Also whoever decided to give her a white jacket against a white background should be fired, it caused her arms to totally disappear. Michaela’s FCO wasn’t surprising since the judges loved her photo and she did well at go-sees, but I didn’t feel it was entirely deserved.

4. Courtenay

I don’t fully dislike any of the pictures this week, but Courtenay’s was my least favorite in the bunch. I feel like the set and styling are doing most of the work for her. While the outfit looks great on her, she didn’t take the broken down marionette doll pose far enough. Her face is fairly strong at least, I like how she tilted her head downward and her vacant/innocent expression fits the character. I have a feeling that the judges would’ve saved Courtenay if she didn’t bomb the go-sees challenge, but I would’ve eliminated her either way since I thought that the other 3 contestants were significantly stronger overall.
