Cole couldn't find any so he just swiped the ones off the bed to make a little blanket nest for O. "Do you need me to dry your limbs for you? I don't really know how to...do anything with them."

Cole winced, insulted and a bit hurt until it registered that O was only kidding with him. Cole still felt awkward about it now. Was he actually bad at it or was he okay?
"I...there was a soldier who needed...a lullaby their father used to sing to them before their passing. So I did it for them. I'm trying to learn a few more songs in case it happens again." He didn't want to explain but it poured out of him. Self-conscious, his mind helpfully explained.

Cole remained silent for a moment, rocking side to side a moment before he finally broke his silence with, "What happened, O?"
He didn't mind having O stay with him, not at all. Cole was actually glad for the company, but he did wonder if he'd need to prepare for anything.
O frowned as he sat next to the fire with a sigh wearing a hooded onesie. "Thanks I guess for letting me stay here." He muttered glancing out the window at the storm before glancing back at Cole.
Cole perched up on a few planks he'd anchored in the rafters of his room, legs dangling over the edge of where he was laying. At the put out sound of O's voice, Cole shifted and rolled over onto his stomach to peer down at him.
"Anytime," he murmured. "I'm sorry I didn't have much for you to wear."
Cole didn't have many things as it was, and the difference in size was...well...a onsie isn't that dignified either, so that doesn't help in the slightest.

Cole's lips twitched towards a smile as he stopped singing.
"I could sing the second verse, if you'd rather. It's...creepy." It's about staying awake and don't you dare go to sleep, listener. Cole like the contrast between the soft beginning and the disturbing ending to it.
"I won't bring you food, then."
