The Road to the Camp Grounds | Oceane and Claire

Oceane had been itching to get away, the only thing she wouldn’t do is go somewhere on her own. Pulling up to Claire’s house, the dark haired girl put the car in park, and stepped out.

Not bothering to go up and knock on the door, the spontaneous girl began shouting. “HEY, CLAIRE! LET’S GO ON A CAMPING TRIP!”

Aguamenti | HP!au | Open

Oceane sat on her four poster bed. She had been studying all day. Looking at her textbook, she glanced up at the empty glass and pointed her wand at it. “Aguamenti,” she pronounced clearly.

Almost immediately the glass began to fill with liquid. The unfortunate part was that it was not clear. It was bright red. Grimacing, she placed the book down on the bed and picked up the now filled glass. “Why can’t I get this one right?”

“Do you keep sea creatures as companions?”

Oceane shook her head, “I don’t. I know some people who have fish friends though.”

Oceane glanced up at him. She hadn’t actually ever interacted with a human before. She shook her head, and answered, her voice a bit shaky. “Not really. I suppose some do, but I don’t personally.”

Oceane couldn’t believe what she’d found. A wondrous ship wreck, just lying on the bottom of the ocean. A gaping hole in the side of the wooden hull. 

Most mermaids were scared of such finds, terrified of humans and what they can do. Oceane, on the other hand, was not like the other mermaids. She reveled in the rare finds, enjoying everything she found inside such scenes. 

Pushing away from the rock she was hiding behind (a habit drilled in to all mermaids), the dark haired mermaid swam towards the sunken ship.

It was only her third day at the mansion, and as much as she loved the idea of a new place, it seemed a tad bit difficult for her to grip the fact that she was there. She was used to living with her parents, at home - and not at the school she was attending. 

What was even more strange for her, was the fact that the entire building was crawling with mutants. Something else she was not at all used to. She was used to being the only one.

Walking down one corridor, she kept her eyes open for the classroom she was looking for. Why did there have to be more rooms here than at her old school? 

She was so busy looking across the hallway for the classroom, that she didn’t realize she was coming closer to someone. When she was next to them, she stepped on their foot.

Feeling the unevenness under her own foot, she gasped and jumped away, knocking into someone else. 

A light blush crossed her cheeks, as she profusely apologized to everyone involved in the incident. Luckily the person she’d bumped into paid little mind to her and continued on their way. It was the person she’d stepped on that she was now worried about. 

“I didn’t mean to step on your foot. I’m so sorry.”
