“Not rude at all, Alm.” The prince reassured the other, waving it off politely.
“And as far as talk of me goes, that’s rather a nice thing..”
“It’s not solely myself however, my tome is divine you see.. She can manipulate the earth itself, it’s though that magic I can adjust the soil.”
Modesty was not usually Leo’s modus-operandi, but in the eyes of the eager, warm hearted young king from another world, Leo felt it best not to behave in too haughty a manner.
“You used to be something of a farmer, isn’t that so? It’s rather likely you’d know more about a subject such as that than myself.”
Right! Most other places he had seen so far had tomes! In fact, even his friends from Valentia had tomes here as well as staves, probably so magic could be channeled safely. It was probably odd for everyone he knew to carry one of those.
They must be useful, though, to be able to do such a thing— and Leo spoke of his own like it was alive! Perhaps it was... something not unlike Falchion, whom he often felt had a sense of will or something. Weapons that are Divine were maybe just like that... maybe they carried a little of the powers of the Deity that made them.
“That’s interesting.” He says, smile on his face widening just a little. “You two must make a great team.” Even if it was with the help of a Divine tome, he was sure it took effort from Leo’s side as well.
“You’re right, though! Back when I lived in Ram, I’d help with the harvests and with plowing the land. Sometimes we’d take care of irrigating, and we had to rotate crops constantly. It helped them grow better, you know? A plant to prepare the land for the next... something like that.” His expression turned a little nostalgic at that, a fond sigh escaping him. “Still experimenting what works best on Rigelian soil now, but we’re yielding more crop now— must be doing something right.”
His head tilted in interest, however, and he decided he might as well ask. “If I may... what crops have you grown so far?”
