It wasn’t often that Chessie and O saw one another while at the FREYA office, but when they did -- Chessie wasn’t one to waste her time. “Latte?” she offered, knowing that O probably needed it. Ever since Gossip Girl’s infamous introduction to high society, Chessie’s found herself on edge with her roommate, especially when it comes to business affairs. She knew how much the family business meant to O, and Chessie couldn’t help but feel she couldn’t get it quite right, unable to live up to the standards her best friend had. “I know your morning’s been busy.”

Tate could barely focus with everything that was circulating in their mind.  Quinn choosing cocaine over them, Monty going to a business meeting with his ex, and just feeling generally upset because nothing seemed to be going the way that they wanted it to which brought Tate to O’s doorstep holding a 1.5 litre bottle of Pinot Grigio in their hand.  Tate had already helped their self to a bottle at home, but didn’t see the point in stopping now.  Plus, Tate needed a friend right now.  More than ever.  Tate opened the door for O’s penthouse and called out their name as they entered, pulling off their coat.  “I have wine.  If you don’t hurry, I’m going to drink it myself.”

They’d chosen Howl specifically for the fact that it would be the least crowded given the fact it had been closed for a few hours now.  The last thing Tate wanted to do was deal with a crowded bar and ending up on the front page of Gossip Girl’s next e-blast.  Plus, if they had known O well enough she wouldn’t complain about the lack of a crowd and unlimited access to alcohol.  Before even sending their last text message to O, Tate was already entering their car that had been waiting downstairs for them and instructing them to go to Howl.

Upon their arrival to Howl, Tate informed their driver that they would let them know when they needed a drive home that evening and that they would be fine.  Tate unlocked the door to the restaurant and turned the lights on before heading over to the bar, pulling their jacket from their body.  They flung it over one of the bar stools and texted O to let her know that the door was unlocked before they helped themselves to a generous glass of Pinot Grigio and waited for O to arrive.
