               it was already getting later into the night and a few hours into the party. murphy was still going strong as usual though. far too many drinks in him and he was making any and all attempts to speak to every single person in both houses. which he was failing at because drinks kept catching his attention. but he spots harry and practically hops on her back when he comes up behind her, pretty much grabbing her ass in the process. “ what’s up hot stuff, you come here often, ” he asks, smirk playing across his lips as soon as she turns her head to him.

             “ johnnnnnn --” he says as he slides up beside his friend, cup of whatever he currently has sloshing over the lip of his cup and onto the front of his shirt. it joins a few other spots where he’s obviously missed his mouth or just not managed to hold his cup very well at all. “ tell me you’re feelin’ as good as i am, dude. and also let me take this moment to tell you that you are one lucky son of a bitch for getting the damn attic. asshole. ”

               the parties that the houses threw were always some of murphy’s favorites. going to others were just different. these were familiar and comfortable. plus he could just drag himself to his room and pass out whenever he wanted instead of having to worry about figuring how he was going to get home afterwards elsewhere. maia’s been in the house awhile and he’s plenty familiar with practically everyone at this point. so he shuffles up to her, tray in hand. “ shot for shot with me? ”
