Dear World, My birthday is coming up in a few days and I will be turning 28. The only thing I want from you is to stop telling me “Act your age! Conform to society’s ideal image of a 20+ year old!” Because it’s too late to change who I am, my artwork thrives off of who I am, I’ve found people who accept and adore my child-like whimsy, and I’ve recently found my mission in life: to reconnect people to their childhood through my art or by just being me. The world needs big kids like us to remind grown ups what pure happiness and wonder felt like before we got bills, parking tickets, marital problems, and other every day stresses of life. It’s fun and OK to be a kid sometimes. No, it’s IMPORTANT to be a kid sometimes. It’s important for our well-being. So let me be so that I can do something good for the world. Love Mimi
I adopted a baby grackle that fell out of its nest about 4 weeks ago. He was a weak little malnourished thing, so I took the time to nurse him back to health. My cat and dog are very unhappy now.
