Kitchen designer Laura O'Brien of O'Brien Harris, did a beautiful job of taking advantage of this vast, architecturally beautiful space to create a proportionate, timeless and elegant kitchen. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous terracotta floor, which is just like my own! I laughed to hear the homeowner originally wanted to rip it out, then came to her senses when she realised just how utterly gorgeous it really was. Upon first moving into my own home I declared the floor was going as well! But just like in my own kitchen, that earthy tile really grounds all the white in the kitchen and throughout the rest of the large space. Plus, it works so beautifully with those timeless Calacatta gold marble, mitered edge countertops!
