HOW TO FIND A PLOT WHEN ALL YOU HAVE IS CHARACTERS AND A SETTING (and has built in character development!)

I'm looking at you oc community

YAY you have a world. Great! Now write down what happens on a normally- what are your character's daily routine. And my favorite part, why is that their routine. What makes them choose that? Are they constantly doing new thing cause they're afraid to be by themselves? Are they constantly by themselves because they are afraid of rejection? What would take this comfort zone and burn it to the ground. Create a list of ideas and pick your favorite.

Create a list of each character's goals and motivation, I'll be making a post on how to find that soon btw. Can the plot be based of these goals?

Pick THE MOST IMPORTANT goals.

Find the characters with different goals. YAY conflict!

You have to know your characters fears for this part. Not like heights like no one will ever love me if I'm not always perfect.

How do they think they can get their goal without doing the thing that makes them afraid:

6. Then use the situation in point 1 to create the environment that kick starts it. Use the goals and motivations to show why they do actions and boom!

This is Cerulean!! *Pls ignore the misspelling of her name in the drawing, idk how my dumbass didn't notice the accidental "H", lol.*

Cerulean is the daughter of Skales and Rat. she was born in the middle of season 7 of Ninjago, *She's also older than Charoite, cuz he was born after S15,* and She's currently 15yrs in Dragons rising.

Btw, One of my random headcanons is that serpentine children age faster than human children do, so if she's older than she actually would be in DR, then that's why, I guess. :P

Cerulean is a ninja Fan-girl, and she has a HUGE secret collection of Kai merch hidden away in her little burrow, lol. And She'll freak the fuck out if she finds someone in her burrow without her permission. *Pythor and Skales Jr love bullying her for being a ninja fan Imao.*

Cerulean once plucked a hair from kai for her collection when the ninja went to find Skales to ask him about Aspheera in S11. the ninja just know her as Skales’ creepy little gremlin daughter. Kai’s probably really freaked out by her. XD

Cerulean's main personality traits are: Shy, a little bit creepy, Surprisingly strong, creative, cringe, and affectionate towards her father and younger brother, Charoite. Some of her fav hobbies are Painting on walls in the sewers, singing and sometimes dancing. *not infront of anyone, because she’s kinda embarrassed about it.*

Skales is also Cerulean's best friend because he listens calmly to her problems and doesn't judge. Even though Skales isn't exactly comfortable talking about his feelings, he's more than happy to listen to Cerulean talk about hers with him✨

Rat is the chaotic and energetic parent. Rat loves her Snakelets, and gives them whatever they want to make them happy. Skales is more strict than Rat is, and they sometimes argue over this, lol✨🍋‍🟩💙

Pythor doesn’t really help, and he mostly just comes to visit to go in the burrow Skales made of him, and hang out/plot alone, since the other serpentine don’t exactly like him lol. Sometimes Pythor will to his Charoite, or tease Cerulean about her crush on kai. Cerulean is pretty used to Pythor’s banter by now, but he still manages to pisses her off. He’s less of a second father to her, and acts like an annoying older sibling to her, *But he secretly really cares about his step daughter lmao*

Random fact, Rat also used to sing snakelet cerulean a lot of dark serpentine lullabies from her childhood, and now Cerulean still hums these songs While she Paints or dances.

I Had a lot of Fun designing the color scheme for her scales!! The light Neon cyan looks really cool compared with Rat's pastel lime color palette. Bright blue and green colors are beautiful, and u know it. Shut up>:3

usually, arlo would always hang out with sulley in the store but everytime he gets invited to the parties, it'd always end up with him going home because sulley would always try to draw away the other ror members, especially johnny whenever he spots him going near them. arlo doesn't like hanging out with sulley at parties because it'll eventually be cut off, and they won't have time to catch up because in between this— sulley's having a rivalry with mike.
