Outside of Mimic Shenanigans if the Human (or... anybody else lol) were to first encounter Everchase it'd be either during a Hunt or. Well as shown in this image at the End of a Hunt lol. Not counting the possibility of the units being chosen as "prey" themselves
Predators don't always have successful hunts.
Unfortunately, Everchase isn't exempt from this.
