i like the idea of her playing opposite Meraad because height difference ships and they both like beating the shit out of shit. i like the idea of her opposite Charlotte because she’d be so intrigued by how she isn’t dying from the Blight. And I like the idea of her with Saskia because Saskia is like….the opposite of her, small ego and even temperament, trying to atone for her sins in the past and protect everyone around her. I like the idea of her opposite Ise as well, actually - they can be illiterate buddies. Katoh is a hornless tal-vashoth member of the Valo-Kas. Small for a qunari but twice as fierce, she started to question her purpose as a tamassran after years of watching over vidath-bas, those driven mad by qamek. Her faith in the qun faltered until she fled, taking as many of her charges as she could. She wandered, until eventually being found by Shokrakar and taken in by the Valo-Kas. Her nonthreatening appearance and sharp mind make her perfect as the company's contract negotiator.

I like the idea of her striking up a friendship and eventual romance with another member of the Valo-kas, Meraad. She and her younger brother, Aban were taken in by the mercenary company when they were little more than children (She was 15, but looked older and lied about her age), after their parents died from a disease that swept through their little village on the coast of Antiva. They were born Vashoth farmers, but Meraad always longed for adventure, and took well to the life of a mercenary. Oh man, Merilin!!! I love her!! I keep thinking about her with Rhiannon Trevelyan, honestly; she’s a sheltered noble girl who learned archery to improve her posture and was expected to join the Chantry before the Conclave, and after? Just tries to please everyone as much as possible. I could see Merilin trying to mother her at first but Rhi refusing to allow it, because she’s got a strong personality that doesn’t take well to being fussed over. OKAY SO ISENAMA IS THE HERO OF FERELDEN. Very reluctantly, I might add. She hates humans because she doesn’t understand them and her clan mainly avoided them as much as possible, so it’s a hatred borne of fear. She didn’t annul the Circle because she kept thinking about what Merrill would say, but she wasn’t happy about her decision either. She sleeps with Zevran but doesn’t get attached and dumps him the moment he starts to. She’s kind of an asshole. Treated Tamlen like shit but loved him in her own awful toxic way. Also, she wields a greatsword as big as she is and has hair down to her waist that she keeps braided all the time. Ise is just. Constantly angry, not just at shems, but at other elves too. Tamlen and Merrill were her only friends in her clan because she just….Does Not know how to people.
