Hands and how they're changing
It's me and my emotional support war criminal OC that I made up in middle school to escape from real life issues against the world
Means a lot to see him get love <3
(I'm doing LEAGUES better mentally now in case you couldn't tell)
what getting back on his meds does to a mf
Hey, dumb ask maybe, but I cannot find it anywhere in your Strike tag, what race is Strike? He doesnt seem to quite fit any of them.
He's Bhaal's special designer labubu and made 'unique' on purpose! People most often assume he's a drow, he presents himself as a drow (or says one of his parents was a tiefling, if people become suspicious), and because he grew up exclusively in Baldur's Gate, people there see a scary looking elf thing and kind of default to "oh wow thats what drow look like?" because there isn't many drow around to compare him to. No actual drow would be fooled though, Strike doesn't even speak undercommon or have any connections to their culture.
Bhaal made him a mishmash of traits to make him a) scary, b) special and c) incapable of ever feeling like he belongs anywhere other than the temple. There are no his people, he is one of a kind, there will never be a place where he could fit in.
If you're interested, I did draw what hed look like if he were based on any other race! He'd always be a weirdo
Mother and her fuckass baby boy
love drawing her face ngl
Jaheira parenting Durge AU thoughts
-she tells him he's a Bhaalspawn at a pretty young age; she has to do it or the other kids would've figured it out by themselves. She treats it as a "your father was a shitass loser but you don't have to be, okay? Or else."
-she does her best to treat him the same as the other kids, but sometimes she still makes differences because she can't help herself but be cautious. In those cases, it is usually the other kids that do an uprising for equality - an example being when Durge wasn't allowed to share a room with everyone else at night.
-Durge calls her Jaheira or only sometimes ma, even if he does consider her his mother.
-Jaheira takes him out on hunting trips out of the city often, to let the kid let out his bloodlust safely. Animals run away from his presence, which makes the hunt harder, but she likes the challenge.
-Durge does want to believe her that a Bhaalspawn can choose nurture over nature, but... hes not a normal Bhaalspawn, is he. He is the literal flesh of Bhaal and none of them know that.
-Jaheira kicks him out under a death threat when hes about 12-14 years old, because it has simply gotten too dangerous for him to be around people who love him. Durge agrees that that is the smart choice. Might love her more for it. It breaks Jaheira's heart that her boy has to leave, she believes she failed him and herself - and that is the actual reason Bhaal has sent him to her. She never could've saved him. No matter how good she was or how much she loved him. And she probably realized that years ago, but didn't want to accept it until she had to make a choice.
there's Mom Jaheira with the bhaalspawn....but does this mean now there's the fun Uncle Minsc and even more importantly the wise Mentor Boo
Fun uncle Minsc yes but wise and mighty Boo sees right through the cute baby eyes. Has ~opinions~ about the Bhaalspawn.
