keep thinking about that post about projecting on tops - though i think they meant doms more than tops lbr - i think lau mat is a lot less concerned about wanting to be dommy bc that kind of masculinity is definitely more aspirational and generally more accepted/rewarded at that time. there's even a whole phenomena called virile syndicalism that was union guys leaning into that. (that's an interesting tangent, they often were ok working across racial lines as long as they were all men(not in a gay way)) a lot of normal mat's apprehension comes from not wanting to be like his dad, and while hitting your kid still isn't uncommon in modern times (unfortunately), it is more frowned upon to talk about it and probably more isolating to experience, vs a kind of universally accepted punishment. that being said, ofc lau mat's exp with his dad has been proportionally ramped up, so don't think he doesn't have issues there. just, like, "i want to hurt you" doesn't bother him nearly as much lol.

I always have trouble visualizing my ocs and my art skills aren’t up to snuff so I’ve been using games with character creation to help me. This is from dragon’s dogma 2 demo and these guys are supposed to be the same character. Haven’t gotten super detailed with them yet tho

I mainly tried focusing on the body shape first before the face since I always have the hardest time visualizing a characters face. I wanted the character to be androgynous but in the way milly Thompson from trigun and trunks from dragon ball are if that makes sense

I think I achieved it a bit better with the street fighter 6 demo, I think the guy is a bit too muscular but the girl model is pretty ok if a bit wonky. I also tried to model the face more here but I’m still not sure what I’m going for
