asking me to wait until november for veilguard is a crime and i can only cope by insistently sharing my rook and my 50000 brainworms about him. :)

while i don't know what armor or campsite options there are until the game releases, this is my design for his rest clothes.

this was an exercise in figuring out features and playing with new brushes but get ready for me to be absolutely insufferable about this lad :)

hi you ever get stuck on thinking about a bad end for your oc and their romantic partner? boy, i do that a lot

anyway, here's some sad thoughts about aevus behind a read more:

not that i know how the actual storyline for veilguard is going to go, so this is purely of my own spinning btw.

the thought of aevus fully succumbing to a despair demon is soooo

it's the idea of being so lost in his head, in his loneliness, despite the companionship of people, that even at the end of whatever events happen he thinks there's nothing strong enough to hold him to this plane.

so maybe the best outcome would be for him to stop trying. he misses his parents, knowing that they've paid the price so he could survive, wanting to see them again. full of guilt for being dealt the cards he's given, even though it's not his fault.

i don't know which would be worse: knowing that the change is inevitable, pleading lucanis to take his life, or fully changing where everything about him is gone and his partner is forced to.

for your rook! face, night, and bling

i'm turning him on a spit like a rotisserie chicken over a blazing fire. :))) i think about him and want to cry ...

— face. describe your OC's face. what's their smile like? are their orbs cerulean? what would someone notice first when looking at them?

aevus looks haggard, like someone who has endured several lifetime's worth of exhaustion, but it's all condensed and concentrated in his eyes. a big burn scar spans over the left side of his face, grazes his lip, along his jaw, and further down his neck. he keeps it obscured the best he can. hates it when people stare. the eye on that side is cloudy white. blind. the eyebrow can barely grow back. but the right eye is a rich amber, warm and bright. it's the one he wants people to focus on when in conversation. all that said, he's soft in the face, like he would take the responsibility of shouldering whatever burden was ailing you without a complaint. he has a smile that is a little lopsided because the skin is tight on the marred side, though it's hard to get him to share it.

— night. what does your OC wear to sleep? do they have a favorite pair of PJs, or are they more the birthday suit type?

he prefers soft and loose clothing to bed down in, pieces that cover and conceal. a bit particular with his privacy even if no one is around. so really gentle linens he can tie with a sash at his waist to keep it put together when not under the covers. he lets them fall loose otherwise when it's time to sleep.

— bling. what jewelry does your OC wear? does it have any meaning?

he wears a small red gem on an thin chain around his neck, looped twice. it's usually hidden away under his layers of clothing because he prioritizes concealing his scar. it's very precious to him, and he's very protective of it. the necklace was a gift from his mother. he couldn't tell you what kind of stone it is though and he's never bothered to find out.

lucanis being socially awkward is great for me bc aevus is also socially awkward. it's gonna be full of pining from afar and tension.

there's so much trauma and fear and neurosis packed into this new lad. I can't wait for him to be unleashed
