17. describe a near-death experience.I was playing tomb of annihilation (with Nihility after Citrine had already died) and we found someone from our barbarian’s home in Omu so we sat down for a nice cup of tea :)) except it just so happened to be a nice cup of poisoned tea :)) so like everyone in our party except Nihility, her weasel Sil, and our monk failed their con saves and were unconscious and we were at 1hp and Nihility kept having to use cure wounds trying to get everyone else up and just trusting that our monk and Sil could keep the guy’s attention for long enough and. it was a stressful time. In the end Nihility got the hdywtdt but deferred it to our barbarian after we learned that this guy had killed our barbarian’s mom rip

5. a fun fact about your character?Vala Vira hates most people and things BUT she absolutely ADORES childrenNihility in contrast is absolutely terrified of children. Avoids them at all costs. She doesn’t think she’s safe for children to be around for Backstory Reasons. Which makes having a 2 year old Aarakocra in the party pretty fuckin stressful for her!!!!

(e.g., dice jail, “charging” dice on the lowest side, etc)I keep all my dice sitting with the highest number facing up so that, idk. they get used to landing that way?? the weight shifts? lmao who knows. it never works tho. also i dont use my dice a whole lot bc roll20. i havent figured out any dice superstitions for roll20 but i desperately need to bc roll20 hates me

If your character wasn’t an adventurer, what livelihood would they lead?A very similar one! she’s an archaeologist, so doing a lot of fieldwork, which when you’re researching ancient ruins and the possibility of achieving eternal life... you run into a lot of the same things you do as an adventurer lmao
14. Has your character ever been in love?She actually has a girlfriend in the party! She and Split (the monk) just started dating.....right before heading into the Tomb of the Nine Gods, so. We’ll see if their ship survives with both members intact... idk if it’s love yet but we’ll see :o
21. Does your character have any noticeable scars? If so, what are their stories?I actually don’t have this super well fleshed out, but I imagine she does! Lots of scrapes from climbing old ruins and exploring dense jungle. Probably has a tine or two of her antlers chipped or even broken off. Maybe some old bite wounds, too. Nothing major, just a lot of wear and tear from an adventurous life in an unforgiving ecosystem
65. What is your character’s favorite food? Beverage?She’s not picky!! Freshly hunted meat is p good, especially if you season it well. And she really only drinks water, tbh. She’s been away from society for a While, water is p much all she can get her hands on
74. What makes your character feel safe?Well, NOT being in the tomb of the nine gods, to start with. Just being alone in the jungle with her weasel Sil, hanging out with the party (esp Split) on a calm night, not being around children. She prefers solitude in general but she’s been getting over that recently, so whereas before she joined this party being around people would not have made her feel safe, she’s starting to associate people with security

She’s angry at her party for being reckless, she’s angry at the spirit for preventing her from helping, and she’s angry at herself that she’s in this situation, but she can’t do anything to solve any of it so.
