Just Scope and Gaffer chatting about marine animals.

Look at Scope being all excited infodumping about sharks while Gaffer is showing all about nudibranches. THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT THEIR FAVORITE ANIMALS AWWWW!!!

Oh hell yeah, that armor looks so cool

Glad those two are okay. Someone should probably help them get to the medbay though, that would've still been a lot of blunt force.

Back on Ship #3, more crew is being put in the armor, getting ready to take the places of the two while they recover.

Scope arrives back. "We can give Shade the all clear." they say, with a nod.

Thorn nods back. "Let's get back to Shade." they say, grabbing Rust and Shamrock again. "Then I can teach you how to haunt." They say, before taking the two back to Ship #1

So, uh, do those trackers mean that MIRE knows where UHOH is??

Scope is the one to receive this question. "Not if we can do anything about it." they say. The approach of the island is already making the tracker beep. They then open the tracker up and start messing with the data center, putting in what is basically a code that makes the tracker think that it itself is faulty, the data corrupts, and Scope destroys it, a small and satisfying pop coming from the tracker

What the fuck is with this thing?! It must be getting some sort of power boost somehow.

I'm going to try and investigate to see if I can figure out what's making it stronger

Seems there's some sort of energy packet in its backpack equivalent.

"MIRA Spies..." Scope mutters an answer.

The Shapeshifter is now just going after the machinery, trying to destroy it, but the amount of salt getting shot into it per second eventually bursts the energy packet, and the Shifter dissolves away

Scope takes a closer look at it, staring super deeply, before firing one more shot of salt, which releases one last scream from the shifter.

Thorn picks up a device that the shifter had with it and hands it to the glow-in-the-dark colored crewmate.

The crewmate huffs in response. "They're getting better. That's bad." they say, before setting the device down. "Take it to one of the other islands on the planet and destroy it there."

Scope picks up the device and floats away quickly with it

Everyone relaxes a little now that it's gone.

"What's with the device?" Shamrock questions

"MIRA tracker. They've been modifying them to explode when disabled or destroyed." Thorn replies

"Isn't that bad that they know where the planet is?" Rust questions

WE CANT INTERACT WITH THE WORLD RN MAN

"You can't???" Shamrock says, surprised

The Shapeshifter dives and starts hiding amongst piles of different rocks and machinery

Scope grabs one of the salt guns, and starts glaring deeply at everything, before firing

A loud hiss comes from where Scope shot. The rest of the crew open fire.

The Shapeshifter is being slowed down, now that salt has embedded it, eating away at it.

This must be the reason we're here. This emergency is probably what we're supposed to help with.

Well, time to get to work finding and stopping the shapeshifter.

We've got this.

Scope glances up, hearing the voices, but doesn't let it distract them, as they tail the shapeshifter.

The angels enter Sub Three, it appears this is the sub doing the searching for void crystals and the meteor metal.

Living crew have special-made guns (You know those guns that shoot salt at bugs? Imagine that but better modified) aimed at the door, ready to fire at ANYTHING that enters

There's banging at the door.

Rust and Shamrock get ready.

A crewmate who is the distinct color most glow-in-the-dark objects are squints. "Open the door"

Scope arrives and says "Here comes trouble!" and opens the door.

The Shapeshifter is morphing to dodge the incoming barrage, it's horrific to see.

Sounds of loud angelic cracks start filling the air as the shapeshifter tries on going for the kill. It should be exhausting itself, but it doesn't seem to be slowed down.

Well, sounds like a really good thing that you've got a second doctor with you now

Cobalt is a skilled professional who cares a lot about the safety of their crew

"More important matters at the moment!" Thorn says, arriving at the first imposter check gate, which has been partially destroyed, the two crew that were there at the start now collapsed on the floor. "Come on!" they lead Rust and Shamrock down corridors. There's a 'crewmate' that looks like one of the two collapsed guys, and there's also more Guardian Angels appearing, as well as a few normal ghosts, one of which can be recognized as the guy who got crushed by Omega during their void-infected-rampage. "This the guy, Scope?"

The recognizable ghost, who is a slate gray (not as dark as Shade's coloring) and is virtually invisible compared to the color of the tunnel I should add, nods. "Indeed. Sub Three is already armed."

"What do we do?" Shamrock asks

"Go ahead into the sub. Protect anyone at the front." Scope answers "Same goes for you, too." they say to Rust.

All angels on route to Sub #3, except a few who stay near the two collapsed crewmates.
