Character Profile: Cora

Fluffy, nervous gryphon with a heart of gold. If only she could fly as fast as she could talk.

Full Name: Cora (it really is that simple)

Species: Gryphon (part grackle, part leopard)

Abilities: Flying, limited shapeshifting

Ah, Cora. Sweet Cora. Too-delicious-for-her-own-good Cora. Or perhaps exactly delicious enough for her own good? Stomachs are comfy, after all. Where do I begin? Cora’s a member of an aggressive, territorial species who nonetheless turned out to be incredibly gentle and even timid. She’s shy and easily flustered, and talks nonstop when she’s nervous, which is always. You’ll know she’s truly startled if she gets the hiccups.

Cora recently learned the basics of shapeshifting, and can take a human form and remain in it indefinitely if she chooses. She has a hard time deciding whether she wants to try and fit in with humans or remain a monster among monsters. On the one hand/paw, the city is crowded and noisy, and that’s scary. On the other, the forest is full of things that want to eat her.

Cora is curious about everything, and has a knack for devising creative and original solutions to problems. She is prone to frolicking and similar fits of cuteness.

Biology/vore info:

Cora’s head, shoulders, chest, and wings are covered in iridescent black feathers, and everything else is leopard. She’s got four paws instead of the two talon/two paw arrangement that some gryphons are born with. Her bright yellow eyes are exceptionally keen. She can pick out small details and recognize threats and potential prey from way up in the sky! Cora also has an exceptional lung capacity and ability to obtain plenty of oxygen even at high altitudes. As a result, she’s a decent swimmer and an excellent diver, able to hold her breath for several minutes. She’s good at climbing and has quick reflexes, despite her thicker frame. She’s built for maximum mobility, but also maximum fluff. Her cuddleability is, frankly, off the charts.

In between her esophagus and her belly, Cora has a crop. It’s a pretty relaxed organ. It doesn’t squeeze too hard, and it’s just got a little warm pool of saliva in it. It’s where her prey typically goes. They’re totally safe there, warm and cozy. Cora’s a bit of a glutton, and she tends to set her sights on “targets” that are at least half her own size, so it’s a good thing her crop can safely stretch to accommodate even large, squirmy prey.

When Cora is a pred, it’s usually because she’s developed a kind of protective crush on someone, and feels an overwhelming desire to wrap them up in herself. She tends to ask her prey nicely before she does so, though, blushing and stammering. It takes her a long time to work up the courage to make a request like that.

More often, though, Cora is prey. She loves being absolutely helpless in the clutches of someone powerful. She doesn’t advertise this, though, and is often loath to admit exactly how much she wants to be swallowed down at any given time (she’s rarely good at hiding it, however).
