Thank you for asking! I’m answering this for Hadar and the countless guys her dads have set her up with, and that have not worked out. She doesn’t really date in serious sense, commitment issues and all (totally not in love with Ocipia or anything, but also commitment issues). Also #13 as requested :)

1. How did the relationship end? Did the couple break up?

Usually Hadar is the one who breaks up. She has several lines she uses, about how it’s been fun, but it’s not working out anymore, she just doesn’t feel the same, thanks for the memories. Sometimes the guy realises nothing will come out of it and breaks it up before Hadar has the chance.

9. Was it known this couple was together? Was it known the relationship had ended?

Yes, rumours travel fast and purebloods of her status aren’t able to date in secret. Her dads do make it known when it’s ended and they are looking for someone else to match her with (it’s a miracle they haven’t ran out of eligible guys people yet, especially when the solution is obvious).

11. What do they think went wrong with the relationship?

She’s just not ready for a relationship. Look, the guy was hot, and usually the sex is great, but she just isn’t feeling it. She likes her freedom, and the non-attached sex. Also they just don’t give her the butterflies in the stomach feeling everyone is on about.

13. When the look back do they regret the relationship? Or are they each other’s one who got away?

Not really, Hadar in general isn’t one for regrets. If the sex was particularly good, yes, she might regret it for like five minutes longer. But none of them have been the one who got away, no man will ever be that for her.

Aleena - Lumella Pie

The sweet, yet slightly tart, lumella pie always brings memories to surface for Aleena. The first time she remembers having tasted it is when Mariel brought some for their picnic. The taste of it reminding her of home, of picking the fruits from the garden, baking with her mom. Her real memories bleeding through, as tropical Imperial fruits didn’t grow on her “homeplanet”. Not that she realised it at the moment.

Back in the Empire she’s had lumella pie multiple times and has even found her mom’s recipe book. It always makes her feel warm and loved.

Zane - Lakka Pannacotta

The best part of berry picking is always eating the berries, especially when the berry picking involved waking up early to be eaten by different blood thirsty insects while trying not to be swallowed by a swamp. Zane enjoys lakka in all of its forms, but the general sweetness of the pannacotta works great to tame the natural tartness of the berry, especially when topped with some lakka mush or jam. Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to get hands on lakka on Dromund Kaas due to the lack of demand and high price. Which is why he brings frozen lakka from Meonus whenever he visits his parents.

Hadar - Ziosti Baklava

Hadar spent her summers at her aunt’s on Ziost, often enjoying Ziosti baklava with some tea with her on the porch. As she got older, she’d visit the café her aunt bought them from rather often, taking some time for herself, enjoying the buzzing city and the mountain air, and the delicious sweetness of the baklavas. Her favourites being the ones with cinenuts and pistachio, and soaked with rosea water. Definitely something she always had delivered for her birthday from Ziost.

Fictober 2 - Make-Up

Prompt: Make-Up

Summary: Hadar has secured tickets to the newest club and invited Aleena along. Hadar doesn’t trust Aleena’s make-up skills, so takes things to her own hands. Early 19 ATC.

“Stop squirming,” Hadar says, her hand settling on Aleena’s shoulder pinning her against the couch, “This is a very delicate art.”

“But it tickles, and I can’t control it.”

“Force, under any other circumstances…” Hadar’s pupils seem to darken slightly, her head clearly going to a place where Aleena’s can’t. She shakes her head slightly, “But we are on a schedule today.”

“I thought your tickets can get us past the queue.”

“Well yes, close your eyes for a moment, but I’d still like to be early. Jatszani will be performing and I don’t want to miss that.” She can feel Hadar paint around her eyes with the eyeliner. There was no way she was going to recognise herself after she was done.

“I could have done this myself.”

“Aleena, no offence, but I’ve seen you do your make-up. Besides,” Hadar leans right next to her ear, “I never mind having you under me.” She’s sure her cheeks are as red as Hadar’s, blazing from under the blush.

It’s strange, feeling Hadar apply more make-up on her eyes. At least this was the last part, hopefully.

“Done, and you look great. Let me get you a mirror.”

She definitely didn’t recognise herself in the handheld mirror. She looked so odd, still good, but definitely not herself. Her lips crimson and eyes looking bigger than usual. Whatever Hadar had done with her brushes was definitely magic.

The front door opens as Zane lets himself in, setting his hockey bag on the floor. “I’m ho- hi Hadar.”

“Hello Zane,” Hadar’s grinning, sounding cheerful.

“Did I miss something?”

“Hadar invited me to this club opening, so…”

“Not just any club opening, opening of the Velvet, nobody has talked about anything else for months.” 

Now Aleena was sure she had missed a lot of conversation over the past months if that was the case. 

“So you are here getting ready.” Zane states, walking to the couch. 

As he leans down to kiss her, Hadar’s hand lands on his chest, “No, I did not spend ten minutes on those lips for you to mess them up in seconds.”

Zane rolls his eyes, instead of her lips, his land on top of her head, “Hi, you look great.”

“Thanks, you know, after I get back…” Aleena’s voice quiets down towards the end.

“Oh definitely,” he answers her hushed tone in kind.  

“And now that the greetings are done, we so need to get back to it. The nightlife waits for no-one.”

“Yes, yes, yes, I get it. You two have fun.”

“Oh, we will,” as Zane leaves the living room, Hadar turns back to her, “Let me get your hair sorted and we are ready to go.”

Summary: Hadar has decided to fix Aleena’s lack of social life on Korriban by a good old fashioned club night.

Being friends with Hadar had certainly made Aleena’s Academy life more interesting. She had a social life now (because according to Hadar, sharing Zane’s didn’t count). So weird. Not that she was totally used to this yet. The music was loud, people were definitely drunk, and the dance floor was filled. 

Hadar liked dancing. A lot. As Aleena had found out during the past several months. Her feet often tired the next day. Tonight wouldn’t be any different, Hadar pulling her along to the rhythm, hand in hand as they danced with strangers that they had just met on the dance floor. 

As the night went on, the people around them changed, as did their dance partners. She wasn’t sure when the two Purebloods had joined them. Hadar was dancing very close to the taller one. She would never understand how she could do that. She didn’t even know how to dance so suggestively in the first place, but here Hadar was doing that with someone, almost grinding against him.

Not that Aleena’s lack of “sexy” dancing skills had made the guy she was dancing with any less enthusiastic. The fact that the pureblood was dancing with her in the first place was weird. Probably because of his friend. 

She taps Hadar in the shoulder, getting her attention. “I need to go and get a drink!” Hadar nods, mouthing okey. Weaving her way through the crowd, she notices the Pureblood following her. Maybe he was thirsty too.

The bar area is quieter, something her ears were thankful for. “So, what are you getting? I’m Berân by the way.”

“Aleena, nice to meet you.” She studies the price list; she honestly had no idea. “I’m not entirely sure yet, maybe just a cider.”

“Okey.” It doesn’t take long for them to get to the front of the queue, placing their orders. Before Aleena could get her card to pay, Berân had already said he’d be paying for both of them. “Don’t worry about it,” was all he said to her objections. 

They sit down on the outside, the fresh air feeling good. “Thank you,” Aleena nods towards her drink. 

“You are welcome.” He takes a deep drink, “How long have you two been friends?” 

“Some months. You know, you didn’t have to come with me.”

“I actually enjoy your company.” They had just been dancing. “I mean, you are beautiful,” He leans closer, “Humans are so very fascinating.” 

Oh, was he hitting on her? This was new… “I think there’s been a mistake. I’m not interested, thank you, I mean I’m flattered, but I’m seeing someone, so whatever you are looking for, I’m not the one for it.”

“People don’t usually say no to me.” At least he sounded more confused than angry.

“I have no doubt about that. But as I said, I’m seeing someone and even if I wasn’t, I take ages to warm up to people in that way.”

“That’s alright. I obviously misread the situation, my bad. Considering I did have plans for tonight, I’m just going to go and see if I can find someone more in line with them.”

“Yeah, feel free. I’ll be alright.” And this didn’t need to be anymore awkward than it already was.

How about you trust me for once?

Summary: Aleena and Hadar embark on a fun tomb adventure to complete Hadar’s trial.

The red slate stone of Korriban tombs was far too familiar at this point. Not that she’d walked them alone in a while. Hadar had become her trusted ally during this time. It was nice having someone watching her back. Even though she wasn’t really in competition with her Acolyte group, she didn’t trust them enough to do their trials together. With Hadar there was no direct competition.

This time they were trying to find something that Hadar needed. She’d already forgotten it. It wasn’t important, just proof that they’d gone to the tomb. “I think it’s through here,” Hadar says, pointing to a side chamber. She had no idea how Hadar always seemed to know where they were going.

As they enter the room, there’s no clear way forward. “Or it’s a dead end.”

“Or a hidden chamber. Don’t be so negative, you know how those ancients loved their secrets.”

“Right… And how do you plan on finding the place?”

“Not sure. Some actual light would help.”

She pulls the light orb from her backpack, shaking it so it lights up. The orb hovers close to the ceiling, staying there under her command. With the light the room looks far more decorated, faded Kittât runs across the walls, carved flora and fauna of Korriban adorn the top of the room and the ceiling, ancient weapons on the walls, statues of ancient Sith in front of the evenly spaced pillars. “Anything?”

“Maybe, give me a minute.” Hadar walks around the room, reading the text. “I think it’s a riddle.”

“You sure?”

“Yes, I’m sure.”

“Well, what is the riddle?”

“It doesn’t translate well, like at all.”

“But it’s a riddle? I mean in the last tomb you were wrong and that ended badly.” And she’d have a scar to remind her of that for the rest of her life.

“How about you trust me for once? I know what I’m doing, and I actually understand the language.”

“Okey, fine.” Maybe the tomb just set them on edge.

“Good, now give me a moment.” Hadar paces around, muttering something in Sith as she does so. “The Warrior must have their sword,” she understands a sentence here or there as Hadar translates parts of it, “the Defender their shield…”

Aleena sits down, keeping herself open to possible threats, the warm light floating around as she makes it circle the room to amuse herself.

“I think I figured it out!” Hadar’s radiating a smug energy, not that she blames her. “So, each of these statuses represents a position, Warrior, Defender, Alchemist, and so on. And we must give them their tool, from the wall.”

“Why are Sith always so extra?” Aleena gets up, patting her robes clean off dust. 

Hadar shrugs, “It’s in the genes.”

“So, how do we know which status is which? Some of them look really similar.”

“There should be a symbol somewhere on them that tells you what they are. So let’s start looking.”

The next ten minutes pass mostly in silence as they decipher the symbols and figure which weapon goes with which. Hadar pulls the final weapon, the sword, off the wall, putting it in the warrior’s hand. The room creeks, making her tense up, ready to dive down if poisonous arrows shot out or some other trap was sprung. Instead the back wall opens up, showing a passage behind it.

Hadar grins, elaborately sweeping her hand towards the door, like a magician just finishing a trick. “Shall we?”

22. “We could have a chance.” 18 ATC

On one of her trials on Korriban, Aleena runs into someone in trouble.

She hated the tombs. She doubted that anyone could actually like them. Sith trials certainly were extravagant. Raiding ancient tombs that had been robbed several times before the Empire even returned. It was unlikely any of these artefacts were even real at this point. Especially when considering how many students made their way through these tombs these days. Unless Tulak Hord had insisted on being buried with millions of stone tablets…

Yet here she was, slinking along the tomb walls, trying to locate what was likely a counterfeit planted by the Overseers. Sith and their love of drama was likely to get her killed. She sighs, wishing she had her lightsaber, it would at least provide some light. Then again, relying on the Force was just fine as well. Less likely to be seen by something with sharp teeth and desire to make her their next meal.

When she turns the corner, she hears the familiar sound of vibroblade cutting the air and the shrieks of shyracks. Some other poor acolyte forced to play this game. Creeping forward, she knows she should use this distraction to her advantage. But hearing a cry makes that very difficult.

Making a decision, Aleena runs towards the noise, to the side chamber. A Pureblood is fending the creatures off with two vibroblades, bleeding heavily from a shoulder wound. Her father would kill her if he ever heard about this. Shooting lightning at the shyrack, she jumps into the fray. For a moment the Pureblood looks at her before shrugging and continuing hacking at the shyracks.

It doesn’t take long for the shyracks to fall to the floor. Covered in blood, the two acolytes look at each other. She doesn’t recognise her. Which is good, being from the same group would make this so awkward.

“Thanks. I appreciate it,” the Pureblood says, still wary as she holds her shoulder. “Why did you help me?”

She shrugs, not really wanting to explain she really isn’t cut out for this. “I thought that you could use some help.”

“How very Sith of you.” The Pureblood rips fabric off her tunic and presses it to the wound.

“What can I say… I skipped rivalry 101.”

“Well, in that case, I’m Hadar Qashûw.” A pause afterwards makes Aleena thinks she’s supposed to recognise the name, but she’d been ignoring her father’s lessons about the powerful lineages. So, no luck.

“Aleena Marwil.”

“Nobody told me Darth Mortis’ daughter was in the Academy. How exciting!” Oh, so she didn’t get the anonymity... of course not. She hoped this wouldn’t backfire. “You seem more cheerful than him.”

“Thank my mother?”

The Pureblood, Hadar, laughs. “And a sense of humour.”

“Great, well… I should get moving. Lot of tomb to cover.” She shouldn’t linger any longer. There were actually people she needed to defeat unless she wanted the Overseer to ‘cut her out’.

“You know, working together we could have a chance.” Hadar says just as she’s about to turn around.

“What?”

“Get out of here alive as fast as possible? I’m assuming that’s your plan.”

“Yeah… But I’ve been kind of been told not to trust people here…”

“You already saved my life, so it’d be a fair way to thank you? And unless you are here after the blade of Drûzat, don’t think our goals are going to clash either.”

Shaking her head, she says, “Never even heard of it.”

“Perfect. So, what do you say?”

“I,” her father was going to kill her, “think that it’d be worth a shot.”

“Great, let’s get going. I wouldn’t want to bleed out on you.”

“Or you could sit down for few minutes and I could heal you?” She might not be the best, but it’d be better than nothing.

Hadar smiles like she’s just hit the jackpot.

9. “There is a certain taste to it.”

Aleena and Hadar give baking together another chance.

After their little “baking” adventure on Korriban, Aleena had been afraid of letting Hadar in the kitchen. But Hadar was very persuasive and there wasn’t much that could go wrong with very simple cupcakes.

Part of her had wanted to bolt the multipurpose machine onto the counter, but she doubted her landlord would have approved. She’d just kept Hadar away from the machine and let her work on the frosting.

“Mmh, there’s a certain taste to it. Very sweet.” Aleena turns to Hadar, noticing her licking her fingers.

“Did you just stick your fingers into that?”

“Yes, I did wash my hands if that’s what you are concerned about,” Hadar says, scooping another helping of the frosting. Offering her fingers towards her, “Want some?”

Aleena’s speechless. Her brows knitting together. “You just- No, I’m fine.”

Hadar shrugs, lasciviously licking her fingers clean while looking at her. She has to avert her eyes, her cheeks warming under the gaze.

“You should try it. Though I bet it’s not the sweetest thing in here.”

“Well, there’s pure sugar…”

“Not what I was referring to. I was talking about something wetter…”

Aleena coughs as Hadar looks her up and down. “Right… well that’s not going to happen.”

“Let me know if you change your mind.” She winks, definitely giving eyes that have Aleena’s cheeks flushing again.

“Yeah, let’s talk about kitchen hygiene first,” Aleena says, scratching the back of her neck.

8. “Can you stay?”

Aleena’s finally gotten a place on her own, but with Zane on the front, it feels empty. Luckily Hadar is there to help.

The end credits were playing, the screen almost too bright in the dark room. Aleena leans in, fumbling around the table to find the remote. Turning the holo off, the room is only lit by the gentle light of the floor lamp.

Hadar stretches, yawning. “That was fun! But I guess I should get going. Let you get some sleep.”

Her words bring a small panic in Aleena. She hadn’t spent a night on her own in the apartment yet. Zane had been with her all the previous nights, but he’d had to leave because of the stupid war. And now the small place that she called her own felt empty. She didn’t want to sleep alone.

Hadar gets up, circling the sofa and bending to kiss her cheek. “Lunch tomorrow?”

“Sure…” Aleena’s voice fades. She knows she should learn to be more on her own, but after Korriban she just missed affection and Zane.

“Hey,” Hadar leans in, hugging her. She feels warm and Aleena’s hand wraps around hers. “Zane will be fine. He’s tougher than I give him credit for.”

“I know. Doesn’t mean that I don’t worry.”

“Of course you worry, you love him.” Hadar hugs her tighter. “He’s your adorable boytoy after all.” “Hadar!” Hadar’s laughter ringing in the room and it’s so easy to join in. To feel all the tension drain from her body.

“What? Nothing wrong with boytoys. I’d love me some.” Aleena only shakes her head in amusement. She should have expected nothing less. “But I really need to get going. My Master is one of those weird morning people.”

Hadar’s arms leave her, but before she can leave, Aleena touches her wrist. “Hey, can you stay? The night I mean.”

Hadar grins wildly. Aleena’s starting to think she doesn’t want to get up early and this is the perfect reason not to. “Sure, been ages since I’ve had a sleepover. It’ll be fun. We can gossip about guys all night long and go sleep far too late and curse ourselves in the morning.”

“Don’t think I’ve ever had a sleepover.”

“Yes! I get to be your first friend sleepover!” Both burst into laughter as Hadar hugs her again.
