        DEBRIS SLIPS ABOUT beneath his feet as he treks through the remnants of a one grand city, resting in poor imitation of what it once was. The buildings that still stand tower like malformed skeletons, large chunks missing and metal frames creaking, begging to fall, crumble, collapse ------- the air buzzes with an uncomfortable silence, air thick with the stench of death; Keith tugs the surgical mask further over his face, does his best not to think about the fact that he is wading through a tomb, corpses buried within the wreckage of humanity’s violent hubris, unthinking wrath. Glance is cast over shoulder, a quick look back at current company ( does he, too, feel the ghosts clawing at his bones? ) and he pauses, inhales deeply, speaks. 

        ❛ I think there’s a pharmacy up ahead --- if it hasn’t been picked clean already we might find something useful in there. ❜ Or they’ll find fellow survivors with the same idea and less than peaceful approach to outsiders, but it’s a risk worth taking ----- fingers curl tighter around the bat within his hand, attention returning to the path ahead and he is still only a moment longer ‘fore continuing steps forward, muscles tense, body weary. ❛ After that we should look for food. Honestly, when he had asked himself if his day could get any worse, he didn’t expect the universe to answer. He certainly didn’t expect it to answer by suddenly drenching him in water from the local water bender. “Are you kidding me?” he hissed. If it was’t for the water, he probably would have already fire bent this guy to the next city.

20. Carrying while half asleep

Kuro didn’t really sleep. He didn’t need to. He functioned off pure life force which fed his brain with constant nourishment, thus also eliminating the necessity for drinking or eating as well.

But there were times when even he got a bit sleepy. It was all thanks to Pidge’s bizarre human device: an Em-Pee-Three player, they said. It played something called music.

As he listened to the foreign notes, Kuro drifted off into what could be considered sleep, head lolling to the side. He barely registered someone picking him up and carrying him off, and only glanced up to see who it was. Once he deemed it was Lance aka Not A Threat, he closed his eyes once more and let him do what he wanted.
