Ocularis

A magical camera that swaps out people with each picture taken.

THE CAST

Yoshinori (Hiroyuki Sanada) An all powerful magician, who has sworn to guard the secrets of magic with his life.

Nila (Ambika Mod) Investigative journalist looking into a string of odd disappearances over the years. Believes camera has connection but has no way to prove it.

Henry (Joshua Sasse) Homicide detective. Ambika’s sort of ex. Worries her investigative nature is going to get her killed.

Mateo (Moises Arias) An overzealous apprentice of a magician. Planned on a power grab when he was imprisoned in the camera.

Evie (Ayo Edeberi) Creator of the camera.

Marlene (Mary Stuart Masterson) Jeff’s wife, whose disappearance years earlier led to murder accusations and contributed to the failing business.

Stephen (Jeff Goldblum) Camera collector. Runs a repair shop that’s days from going under.

THE SCOOP

Nila, an investigative journalist for the Daily Rapport, has been handed a special assignment. Or rather, stolen a special assignment from a rival reporter. Several people over the last few decades have gone missing in a purportedly haunted office building that is set to be renovated into a block of flats.

The editor has seen fit to pigeonhole Nila in the fashion section despite her skills and this assignment will prove to everyone at the paper that Nila’s being wasted in the fashion section.

Unfortunately for Nila, the recently promoted Henry (homicide detective and Nila’s ex-husband) is patrolling that particular building until the renovations are complete.

The building itself is home to a failing camera business run by Stephen and is days away from going under. Poor sales and rumors of his wife’s disappearance have led to the ruin.

Seeing an in, Nila digs out an old camera that Henry had bought her for Christmas years earlier.

After visiting with Stephen, Nila’s camera is somehow mixed up with another, similar camera. Finding the film difficult to remove from the camera itself. Nila eventually manages to pry it open and sets about developing the film.

Unknowingly, as each picture develops, those trapped in the film are freed. Including two warring magicians and the inventor of the unusual camera.

Hi everyone! We’re still chipping away at orders in as timely of a manner as possible, we are right on time for our current batches so there is no extra expected wait! There is a slight delay however on Ocularis: Bloodshot. With any new machine, we have to work out the kinks and variables and it has been nonstop trial and error with these new machines. It is printing color but not at the quality I expect for it to perform (hooded sweatshirt material is actually a real pain to print/screen on), and I will not sell products to my customers I am unhappy with, so it may take some more time to figure all of this out.
