Favourite Flowers

It is, as I stand at the main station

That a blue breeze wipes my thoughts

And I still remember their favourite kind

Yet don't know what flowers to buy

They never could remember it's name

I had to find out through context

And now I have yet to learn new preferences

I don't even know if they like a bouquet

But it's a dinner date, as they offered to cook

For me, this is something new

Food was always a touchy subject with them

And I figured I should gift something in return

Still I don't know what flowers they like

In the end I had to guess, I knew only

Baby's breath was out of the question, I fear

That I might never forget their favourite flowers

I think something shifted last night. Did anyone else feel it? I woke up at midnight and just did not get back to sleep. One of my roommates sent a message to our group chat at 12:04 saying that something wasn’t right and asking if everyone was okay. Other roommate was in another city, and when I brought it up today she said that the baby where she was also woke up around 12 and didn’t settle for the rest of the night and it seemed off.

Are we all crazy? Did something change? If we jumped timelines, I really wish it was to one where I had more money…
