girl i feel your fucking pain im so upset about all the new movies honestly but tros just ....... stuck a nail in the coffin in the worst way
So. I actually really love the Force Awakens. Was it supersized A New Hope? Yes. But I love A New Hope. Was it necessary to continue the Skywalker story and have a huge First Order and completely disregard the sacrifice and victory of the Rebellion and Vader/Anakin? Absolutely not.
Last Jedi I have mixed feelings about. But I won’t go over that, because really, this is about The Rise of Skywalker making me so fundamentally angry and hurt. I did not expect the movies to end the way I wanted them to. They cannot appease all fans.
But I didn’t expect Abrams to work so hard to appease a very specific sector of fans–namely, the very vocal TLJ haters, who didn’t want Rose to have screen time, who love Ky*o, and who call Rey a “Mary Sue.”
I can genuinely say I hated this movie and I’ve never hated Star Wars.
