Of all the days that her mother had to go and send her brothers, it had to be today. If she were reasonable like any other parent, it would have been right after she had been told but no, her mother had to go and wait a few days. Lexi only knew that this meant her mother either knew she was up to something and didn't believe her or was being overbearing like always, though Lexi preferred the latter. She sighed, laying in her bed and staring up at the ceiling, munching on the cookies that she had made. As she reminded herself to save some for Jeff, she had counted 42 holes in her wall, though there was sure to be some repeats.
