OEHLEN, ALBERT (Alemania, 1954)

Estudió en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes en Hamburgo y también realizó estudios en publicidad. Su obra pertenece a la corriente neoexpresionista alemana y se caracteriza por ser una obra de gran formato en la que utiliza colores muy vivos y pintura al óleo.

El tema suele ser la crítica social o política, desde una perspectiva e imaginario violento y agresiva, con una fuerza muy característica en su estilo.

Sin embargo, ultimamente su obra ha evolucionado a un arte más abstracto que además utiliza pintura de la mano de la fotografia. También ha creado obra digital. Ha expuesto internacionalmente tanto en Estados Unidos como en Europa y actualmente reside entre La Palma y Colonia.
