so there was this guy at work that i thought was just a ‘bit dull’ or ‘slow’ - just from his speech pattern & thought processing, he asked me a question abt smthg like ‘is this edible ? [holding dill]’ - but i saw him again today & he’s actually special needs, HOWEVER he is NOT dull nor is he ‘SLOW,’ i think he may just be autistic idk; he’s so cool, we get on well, & have similar interests 😭😭 like i’m obsessed w him, but he ‘DOESN’T’ work there. he’s doing ‘an apprenticeship,’ which i’m still trying to understand, but he helps out in the store once a week - today we were repotting (well i was, but then he just joined me & i was more than happy like yes pls do my job for me ❤️❤️❤️) & were chatting whilst obvs & he shared that he actually makes hanging baskets as a business like this boy got a FULL greenhouse + a i forget what he called it like a ‘garden tube’ it’s just a plastic greenhouse (also outside) & he’s done competitions n shit 😭😭😭 like king u know more than me abt this idk why ur asking me if it looks good enough 😭😭😭 but anyway bc he has the greenhouses ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) my plan ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) to pawn shit off on him ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) commenced ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) & i asked if he was interested in aquariums & keeping aquatic plants … & guppies …. & he affirmed he is so followed up w ‘how many aquariums do u have ?’ & then he said none & then my supervisor came to ask if i could go on lunch; i thought he’d be gone by the time i got back, but he was there still repotting - which i was ecstatic to see, bc he’s continuing to do my job for me 😭😭😭 - & then i told him that i’ve got a 4 gallon aquarium ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) that he can have ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) for free ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) to get it out of my flat ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) & he was delighted !!! i’ll try to get his number or email from the manager that kinda ‘oversees’ him to confirm that he’ll be able to take/keep it as i don’t know his living situation & if he’s allowed to keep an aquarium, but literally i was just going to take it w me on my way to work & then just leave to in the ‘boys staff room’ (it’s just a bathroom but there’s a bench to put ur stuff + lockers) & i KNOW he’ll be able to get it home FOR SURE bc the apprenticeship programme he’s in provides transport so SCORE

#stream #literalky i’m going to provide a bunch of stuff for him not just the tank im giving him a light (it’s a bit shitty but it’ll be fine if he #just gets another w it but even then ? in front a sunny window & ur golden rly the light would be to do the front more #anyway #he’s so cool i love him he’s so lovely 😭😭😭#like he’s so unconfident & it’s like baby ur doin great stop #i mean are there things that can be worked on absolutely like he didn’t do the baskets that we were repotting necessarily ‘correctly’ but i #don’t mean he did it INCORRECT it’s just that there were plants that should’ve been pulled that he had left & then he should’ve stuffed a #bit more plants into the substrate but i mean like he put them in the CORRECT PLACES & what not like his vision is clearly there like i was #fixing a bit of them & i rly just had to follow the path he had layed out #like basically there were some perennials which surprisingly get mad thick & fuzzy like i thought u bitches were supposed to be like pansies #just soft & nonaggressive 😭😭😭 but anyway they got a bit leggy & ugly so it’s like if most of it’s dead or ugly u just bin it & put in a #different plant but like if it was obviously dead he’d get those usually - like literally his only ~issue~ is he’s thinking like a gardener #not a seller being that ‘oh this has a flower & leaves on the other side she just needs some water & some shade’ but #in this business & im learning a lot of this too im just able to pick it up quicker bc of my retail experience but this business is not here #to sell things intended to survive & thrive we’re selling pretty things that people throw away like even if they’re not an annual but a #perennial so it’s like these baskets are just there to look pretty for a few weeks before the new owner inevitably forgets to water or #whatever & the whole thing dies like it’s not going to live long enough for it to fill itself out like fun fact all those baskets u see ?#look at the tables w the pots of individual plants. they literally just pop the plants out of the pots & directly into the soil so when u #pull the plant out it comes out in a little circle & leaves like a perfect nursery pot impression #it literaly made me laugh so fucking hard when my supervisor was showing me that bc it’s like peeling back the mask bc IM SHRE MOST OF US #THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST GROWN IN THE BASKETS 😭😭😭😭😭😭#BUT NO THEYRE NOT THEYRE JUST SHOVED IN THEM WHEN ITS TIME FOR BASKET SALES #literally it kills it’s so fucking funny #anyway so to fill up space instead of the nursery pot ones we can also use the smaller like 6-pack tray ones but just use like 2-3 in lieu #of the 1 #but basically u wanted like no 2 plants together then like a bush-trail-bush-trail pattern or flexibility when putting it in it shouldn’t be #u know b-b-b-t-t-t like it should be every other-ish but he didn’t do that sometimes but he’s identified a lot so it makes the editing of #them a lot easier; like i think he’s doing great - he’s so friendly 😭😭😭#he just lives in barry which barry people don’t consider cardiff but also a lot of cardiff people don’t consider barry cardiff either so i
