Like please imagine. Superman meeting the terrifying and unsettling caped crusader, right. Forms all the regular opinions of him one usually would bc of his stoicism and violence and reluctance to work well with others.

Sees that's he's Bruce Wayne.

Goes to Wayne as Clark Kent for a story about Gotham being rebuilt (bc ofc Bruce is shoveling money into it). And maybe Bruce plays hard to get bc he fuckin hates anyone looking at him. So it takes awhile for Clark to pin him down, but when he finally does....

Bruce is such a skittish, awkward wet cat of a man. So completely different from Batman, but Clark being who he is, sees the ticks and cues that could be viewed differently depending on if Bruce has the cowl on. And suddenly a lot of things make a lot of sense.

So now ofc Superman has to befriend Batman.

And bc Batman is who he is, figures out Superman is Clark Kent, and tries even harder to avoid and stone wall Superman bc he has no idea wtf to do with this.

(Hint. It does not work. They become friends. Bruce desperately also wants to be friends. It's one of Supermans greatest achievements)
