@ofcrownandglory location: ritrinc streets during the festival
with a glass of wine in one hand & a variation of fruit on a skewer in the other, darius was enjoying the night off from duties & being a prince. the only thing that would reveal his true identity right now would be his face - or maybe the golden accents on his outfit, but then again, he might as well just be a noble mingling with the people of his kingdom. while darius didn't see all the kingdoms' inhabitants as his people, he wished no harm upon any of them.
he wasn't looking for anybody in particular, quite the opposite — he was hopeful nobody recognized him between mead, wine & festival emotions, because he was here ... without permission. not that he needed permission from his father to leave the castle. ...well, not ...precisely. though he would probably have his head for leaving without guards. but it wouldn't do anything to worry now, so he focused on enjoying his night.
a few faces in the crowd were familiar, but none really called out to him until he found a very well-dressed prince who'd gathered up quite the audience, which was the reason darius tried to blend in a little more, or rather ...well, stick to himself. still, he couldn't help watching him from a bit away up until their gazes met. hello, old friend. he shot him a little smile & offered a nod. care to join me?
