@ofdcthomir liked for a starter with Ahsoka
“Cal said you’re from Dathomir. I did read a report about what happened there if you’re interested in hearing what I know.”
@ofdcthomir // merrin.
every nerve ending in her body felt like it had been utterly fried from the strike of vader’s blade. she wasn’t sure that she could even move, laying deathly still, the slight twitch striking more pain. the wound should have killed her, she thought, yet there she was ... on a ship. she can feel cal’s presence in the force, cere’s too, but neither one of them was in the room with her. she was surprised that anyone was, truly. that they had ... saved her. that there had been anything left of her to save. that point, she supposed, was still debatable.
“who are you?” her voice rasped out, throat raw as she made a desperate, pained attempt to sit herself up.
“ FEELS LIKE I just woke up, like all this time I've been asleep. Even though it's not who I am... I'm not afraid of who I used to be. ”

a (hopefully) serious thing for @ofdcthomir
In the wake of Talzin’s death, the attack from the Confederacy, Viscus had spoke of plans to establish a new settlement on Dathomir.Their people would rebuild, they would survive. It was true, with Grievous having slaughtered the Nightsisters... they would in time die out. This, however... what had happened to Dathomir, while he had been establishing Crimson Dawn? Eyes shut, Maul grew all the more aggravated. While unable to sense Viscus’ presence, there was another.

the holocron was destroyed. the thousands of force-sensitive children on the list would be safe from the empire ... for now. it was unknown how long it would taken darth vader or any of the other inquisitors, whatever remained after second and ninth sister, found any of them on the mantis. all of it should have been a relief & in a way, of course, it was. the immediate danger had ceased, but it left something equally foreboding right out in front of them. the future. cal didn’t have the slightest clue where they were going next & so far, the force hadn’t been giving about any clues.
“are you okay?” he didn’t know what to do next, but he knew what he could do right now. check - in on the few people left around him.
━━ ⟢ An increase in recent reports of Force-sensitive individuals had led Rey to a desert planet that reminded her too much of Jakku. She would have much rather left this to somebody else but couldn’t bring herself to do that. Any Force-sensitives that found themselves in the grasp of the Order were swiftly dealt with, most of them children and a majority of them Rey had been forced to dispose of herself when she was younger. She couldn’t do it anymore, resulting in her investigating almost every report that came through herself, saving them if she could. The darksider was ruthless and unforgiving, a monster in the eyes of everyone across the galaxy. In honesty, she revelled in that fact, but she still remembered being a terrified young girl, petrified when she was laid at Snoke’s feet. Rey was lucky in the fact she hadn’t met the same fate countless others like her had, but she had seen that same fear in every single child she’d been ordered to kill, it made her stomach twist and turn.
As the desert environment began to cool in the night and she began her trek back to the transport ship, Rey got the distinct feeling she was being followed through the moderate-sized village she’d been searching all day. Her footsteps pause, hand slowly drifting to her right hip where her lightsaber was hanging.
❝ I know you’re there. ❞ Her voice is cool, her hand curling around the cold metal hilt of her weapon. ❝ Come out. ❞

the former padawan was on the move while a plan was in the making as he started stuffing various little items into a modest-sized pouch. he wasn't expecting to be gone long, & in the back of his mind, he knew that taking too few supplies wouldn't help him - there had to be a middle ground. but a short beep from the droid on his shoulder reminded him that he could gather more things along the way if the situation allowed for it. of course, he would have to figure out where to put extra supplies, but that wasn't a thought he kept for long.
nodding to himself, he closed the pouch, placed it on his side belt, & looked around. ❛ well beedee, i think i've got everything. ❜ he chuckled as the droid beeped & whistled in response. reassured that he began walking away from the camp when a voice stopped him. had he really thought going off to find cere alone was smart ? was he so dense to assume he wouldn't be followed ?
come back here and we'll figure out a better plan.
cal had barely made it beyond their place of rest. his heart began beating faster as he took a slow turn to face the voice, & as he did, he felt his stomach twist into various knots. headfirst into the plan of his making, cal had managed to forget one critical piece, which was merrin, & where she fit into his agenda.
he swallowed & kept his composure, but his gaze lowered. soon, a stiff chuckle broke out as the droid on his shoulder beeped at him. ❛ i guess i should've waited for you, huh ? ❜ or at the very least, explained to her what he was thinking.
prompts for expressing doubt , co - starring @ofdcthomir as merrin.
