buffy + dawn | i’ll do better
† ofextraordinary ;
‘ mom is sooo gonna kill you. ‘
every inch of her burned with the fire of a thousand suns, flames engulfing her in hell.
she was expelled from heaven, the hands of demons -- her friends -- yanking
her down to the fiery plane on which she now stood, forcing her to exist where joy could
not. there was only one light among the dark, one reason for her existence....
and that was dawn summers.
she’d wanted to jump off the tower and free herself again, wanted to return to the place
that was safe and content -- until she heard her voice. until she felt that
spark of love that solidified her very reason for existing. not just a sister, but a part of her.
once the key to open dimensions, dawn was now the key to buffy’s being.
she stands before her, slightly dazed in the haze of her newfound life. her weight shifts
from foot to foot, corporeal feeling foreign to her. words have been few & far
between, the slayer finding it both beneficial and easier to just observe; especially after
the scoobies had bombarded her with a sea of questions and suggestions,
intentions pure yet uncomfortable for the recently deceased and presently alive buffy.
' are you alright? ‘ her voice is soft and unsure, emerald hues filled to the
brim with sisterly concerns. even amidst crawling from her grave, buffy finds herself
more concerned with dawn’s well being than her own.
