unlikely things I need to happen in OFMD s2/3: Pedro Pascal made up to look nearly identical to Blackbeard & playing the role of Izzy Hands’s ex husband. everyone will be able to see the resemblance except Izzy Pedro & Stede

manifesting scenes in s2 where Ed is still mad at Stede for leaving and is doing that thing little kids do where they pretend they can’t hear what the other person is saying

so Stede is stood on one side, Ed on the other (very stubbornly refusing to look at him), with a very awkward Frenchie in the middle passing messages back and forth between them when they can very obviously hear exactly what each other are saying

Frenchie: Blackbeard says he’s not talking to you.

Stede: But I’m trying to explain why I left!

Frenchie: Mr Blackbeard, Kraken, sir, Captain Bonnet says he wants to explain why he left.

Ed: Well, you can tell Bonnet I don’t want to hear it.

Frenchie, to Stede: Blackbeard says he doesn’t want to hear it.

Stede: Won’t he at least look at me?

Frenchie, to Ed: He says won’t you at least look at him?

Ed: Tell him I’m never looking at his stupid dumb face ever again.

Frenchie, to Stede: He says—

(This goes on until even Izzy grows tired of it and forces Ed to actually talk to him just to stop this fucking nonsense.)

So I've got this kinda wild headcanon that the captain and crew of the captured French ship in 2x05 recognized Frenchie from somewhere, perhaps his time in service.

If you take a close look, all their eyes go to him. The captain especially looks like he has a moment of recognition before quickly averting his eyes. It's a "blink and you'll miss it" moment.

Since we know so little of Frenchie's backstory, it's fun to theorize!

(Of course, it could also just be the crew recognizing he looks really hot when he's tying people up 👀)

hi hi okay imagine. stede wants to brush out ed's hair the way izzy always does. maybe izzy is busy on deck taking note of damages after a raid. maybe they had an infestation and he's going over ration spoilage and inventory with roach. ed is tired and cranky and absentmindedly separating sections of curls and tugging them apart at the bottom where they get stuck together in knots. stede offers to help with the tangles, says he would love to give it a go and help ed relax

izzy walks in a few minutes later and immediately comes up and tells stede he's doing it all wrong but also gently takes the brush from him and shows him the right way - where to hold the hair, how to start at the bottom with little sections and work his way up, when to start with his fingers instead of the brush. neither of them can see it but ed is smiling so much his face might actually burst

I think that if Ed or Calico did something wrong on Hornigold's ship, Izzy would ALWAYS get blamed

Izzy would be like the hardest worker doing everything perfect but he wouldn't have Ed or Calico's charm and maybe he'd say one wrong thing and just get a beating. He'd want to be teacher's pet but Hornigold just never liked him. Ed was for sure his favorite with Jack following closely behind.
