There had been word around New Eridu that a companion Hollow might be forming soon, right on the outskirts of Lumina Square. It was where one of the clubs Tempera's band sometimes played at was located, and because of the warning, all shows had been cancelled for now.
Which left him with not much to do other than check out what might be going on in the city center. That's how he ended up at the coffee shop. The line was a bit long, but he was fine waiting.
His eyes wandered to the door, where a woman was inspecting the shop, as if she were trying to determine if she should go in or not. And then his eyes caught sight of someone slipping by her. His place in line was going to be lost, he supposed.
"I'd thank you to return that wallet," he said as he breezed past her and caught the man by the arm. Apparently not expecting that, he let out a surprised yelp and dropped the woman's wallet on the ground before running for it.
"It can get a bit seedy around here after dark," he said after leaning down to pick it up. He held it out to her. "But nothing too worrisome, usually."
Unknowingly in a similar predicament, a location that was supposed to house an event for Cree's group ended up in the very same warning zone. Leaving her manager furious and the girls with an unexpected surplus of free time. Given that she was actually allowed to do whatever she pleased, she had a hard time deciding what that should be.
But when she remembered the coffee shop she spotted on her way in and figured it was the perfect time to give it a shot. Little did she know that the lack of caffeine would make her a bit dull in her senses, since she needed someone else's help stopping a pick pocketer.
"Ah--" she looked a bit shocked, as one probably would to discover that their wallet had been pilfered. "...thanks. A crowded place like this, makes sense people would be a bit bold."
She recognized this guy, but whether or not he recognized her was yet to be seen. Regardless, she decided to keep it to herself for now. Instead, she turned their attention back to the line in the shop.
"Is this place really that good? I figure I should get you something as thanks."
