He gave Jack a bit of knowing smirk then says, “I thought you liked it when I spoke Welsh to you?”

So in the movie, about a week after Cal is brought in (I did up a timeline which is the last link on my page on the lefthand side, and it is spoiler heavy because it goes into detail of what happens while he’s held there), Cal actually manages to break the Animus once the Apple of Eden is found in the memories of his ancestor. Idk if you’ve seen, but there’s an all new Animus, and it plugs directly into the brain stem via an epidural, and Cal manages to, like, breaks its hold on him In a weird way. At that point, the man who runs the facility, Alan Rikken, orders a purge on the facility and evacuates all the staff, including his daughter, Sofia, who’s the one that’s been working with Cal in the Animus.

At that point, the Subjects who have been in the Animus and are being held there escape the facility to fight back against Abstergo. So it isn’t so much that there’s a mass breakout so much as the facility is set to be purged, leaving everyone except the staff to die, so they just escape.

Edward hummed at Ilyanna’s words, feeling a strange flutter in his chest that he could not explain. But he grinned at her sticking out her pink tongue, it looked so cute. “I could teach you Welsh, though to be honest I’m not sure how much actual teaching we’d have.”  His broad fingertips walked slowly over her thigh as he spoke to rest on her hip. There was something about being with her, no matter how that felt so right, so true...

“I think your tongue is talented enough to learn.” He teased.

The ruckus could be heard from the street though that wasn’t what first brought his attention to what was happening. The people staring in horror was what brought his attention to the fighting in the nearby pub. Being the inquisitive person that he was made him wander through the open doors,  not at all surprised when his eyes landed on the girl that was in the midde of the fighting. Jacob had thought that he hadn’t seen her for a while. It was never good when there was silenc.

Everything seemed to be going fine, she was knocking down guy after guy - luckily none of them were members of the brotherhood or it would be difficult to to explain to Greenie. Jacob only stepped in last minute because someone was trying to sneak up on the girl, he swiftly stepped up behind him and buried his hidden blade in the man’s back.
