ღ - For a short drabble about my character falling asleep with yours.
Despite his tiredness, Jackson couldn’t sleep. He could tell Stuart was still mad at him, and Jackson couldn’t but think that maybe the other teen should get over it. It wasn’t often that Jackson came over to stay the night, and damn it all, Jackson wanted some undivided attention.
Okay, so he still wasn’t sure where they stood relationship-wise, not that it mattered. They were both too hot-headed to really settle down, and maybe Jackson liked it that way. It was a confusing tango that kept him interested, which was most likely why he, at random, decided to just crash over, Stuart’s opinion be damned.
"I can feel you glaring at me," Jackson finally said. "Your computer is not going to crash from disuse. And if I open my eyes, I could probably see the snarl on your face in the dark."
"You think you’re so smart."
"You need to just go to sleep. You’re keeping me up with your thoughts of ‘die motherfucker die." Jackson let out a snort. "Not that I can read your mind or anything, but I’m pretty close."
"You’re so fucking arrogant. Just because you’re a werewolf doesn’t mean you’re omnipotent. Try shutting up for a change."
"Called it, you’re still mad. Quit pouting and let me sleep." Jackson rolled over to face the other teen, cracking one eye open. "Unless you have other ideas in mind."
"No, down boy." Stuart rolled his eyes. "Not doing that either." He turned his back to Jackson. "I’m just gonna sleep. You pretend you’re a God or something. I don’t care anymore."
Jackson snickered and draped an arm over Stuart. “Yeah, I’ll do that. Go the fuck to sleep.” He closed his eye again, enjoying the peace and quiet, save for the hum of the computer.
It didn’t take long for Jackson to fall asleep, since the soft breathing of the now-dozing Stuart helped. So maybe they could go to bed angry, but they could always make up later.
And the cycle would start all over.
