If you are considering watching the final Elite season to find out what happened to your OG favorites, let me save you the trouble. If you still want to watch season 8, more power to you, I only made it through because I was watching with a good friend and lots of wine.

OMAR: still struggling. We found out last season that he has been dealing with depression and anxiety ever since Samuel’s death. Now he is occasionally doing better. He manages to get Las Encinas closed down, which makes him happy, so good for him. He also looks to be working as head waiter at Isadora’s club, though I’m not clear on whether he is still doing that at the end.

NADIA: still going after what she wants. Nadia is back in town for reasons, but only briefly. She’s set to return to New York, where she has scored an internship with the UN. This is putting her on the path to achieve the dream she shared in the Elite pilot (“When I finish my studies, I’d like to be a professional diplomat at the United Nations.”)

LU: still looking out for the ones she loves. We only get one brief Lu mention from Nadia. Apparently Las Encinas’ alumni association does not let in scholarship students (a totally normal rule for an alumni association to have). But Lu pulled some strings to make sure they admit her bestie, so that Nadia can benefit from the association’s great contacts.

That’s it. No appearances by any OGs except for Omar and Nadia. And no new info on what anyone else is up to.

Not to be a hater, but to totally be a hater. Tell me why, how, who, what, why did ELITE fire all the costume designers or whoever is In charge of dressing the female characters up. I am all for calling out bullshit in dress codes and for example I could never understand how in certain schools across the world girls were forbidden to wear like a tank top to school because I grew up in a place where everyone wore tank tops and even crop tops to school and nobody cared. But like in ELITE they took it to the extreme like how much were they paying that school so teachers (or parents visiting) didn’t bring up that shit.

I mean they went from dressing like this , with Rebecca wearing the most unconventional, weird outfits.

Like they are all basically wearing their uniforms and some shirts underneath.

To whatever was happening in later seasons just WTF. I mean I understand some of these characters had literal stories that focused on how we shouldn’t sexualize them and how seeing them only as objects is bad. But why are they wearing literal BRAs at SCHOOL bro. I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing that at HOME around my family or friends let alone in public unless we are going to a party or the beach. Like imagine signing a contract for ELITE , for Netflix , you are so excited and you get told you need to wear that half the time. I remember even more examples but I couldn’t find screenshots of them.

Like not to slut shame , but I totally am. Also I bet the actors thought WTF , but said to themselves “well I need the money/exposure” so they put up with it.
