“The most powerful Sinner in Hell”
Excluding Hellborn and… Lucifer
But if the next most was a weakling, that was no true claim to fame. It was why Alastor did not start his own fights. Did not get involved in the turf wars or petty squabbles between Overlords.
Nor was it much in his interest to stop said fights for dominance. He had no qualms with crushing a middling demon whose ego dwarfed its own power. Barely remembered the names of the rabble until they became a real threat. But he did not interfere.

But but
Their downfall would leave a power vacuum. And nature abhorred a vacuum.
But he could use it. Use it to break the chains that kept him enslaved to the southern canibelle.
And if he hastened Vincent’s inevitable downfall along using the pitiful obsession that kept his claws deep in the television demon… well. That was simply more entertainment while he waited for Her.
