Okay so.... Jasper isn't as connected as other Earth Quartzes. As we saw, the Earth Quartzes accept each other as family regardless. What if Jasper had Quartz family she was close to? She lost so much family in the war, it hurt her, it weakened her. The only way to move forward was to fight as many people as she could because fighting rebels felt SO GOOD. But it was never enough. She started distancing herself from her Quartz family. The attachment was weakness and she couldn't afford to be weak. She would fail everyone and everything she had suffered for in the war would be for nothing. So fighting is the only thing she could do. After the war, she fused with Lapis and found the rush of being closely related with someone, so close that they became one person. They destroyed each other, but Jasper never having felt such closeness in thousands of years became addicted to the feeling of being close. It reminded her of the feeling wheb she popped out of her kindergarten with her fellow Quartzes. That bond. She was weak again, she needed to be with someone and no one wanted her. The crystal gems introduced her to fusion, they killed her diamond, her sisters. As far as she knows, they destroyed everything for her. And in her heart, she knows she deserves it for letting herself be vulnerable.
