Extracurricular (a rant w.r.t Bae Gyu Ri )

My original plan was to start off with a review of 'Happiness', but two episodes into this series and I just wanted to let out this frustration.

First things first

I love the concept. I love the acting. And the soundtrack gives me chills. My only problem is this girl.

Bae Gyu Ri is the MOST irritating character I've had the misfortune of encountering. Now don't get me wrong Park Ju Hyun is a great actor, it's just that Gyu-Ri makes me want to gauge her eyes out. I see a good back story developing, and it is still too early into the series to base my opinions, but after two episodes I just had to do this.

Here are the two things I dislike about her right now:

Stealing Oh Ji Soo's phone: It just felt fundamentally wrong. And I get that she is a troubled rich kid, but all I see is a trouble rich kid.

Blackmail: So far I can't seem to find sufficient reason for her to blackmail him apart from her wanting to earn money.

I get that the show is all about teenagers making wrong choices but i just had to rant about this otherwise I'd be unable to watch the series due to high blood pressure.

dude Istg extracurricular is genuinely by far one of the best Dramas to ever exist . I've seen some good dramas but this this was on another level like damn

the way jisoo thoughts were portrayed was so good this was an actual master piece

and the ending OMG i loved how it ended on jisoos pet

the chemistry between Oh Ji-Soo and Bae Gyu-Ri was so good they did such a good job at the acting wow i have no words

fuck extracurricular what a waste of 10 hours they really killed the ONLY good character mr. lee fuck man. jisoo is the biggest fucking idiot i wouldn’t have even batted an eyelash if he died he was so annoyingly stupid and so was gyuri or whatever. there was zero development for them besides getting increasingly more fucking dumb. stupid fucking bitches that i couldn’t even feel sorry for in the end. he’s such a meek pathetic weak imbecile. god i’m furious and HE was apologizing to that other annoying fucking bitch minhee?? it was her own fucking fault for everything she was involved in and the rest of the time that rat just bitched and moaned like my god FUCK OFF. i couldnt help but LAUGH when she fell down those stairs fighting jisoo. like finally he did something right and shut her ass up. then aftee all he did was take her phone away lmfaooo fuck her, and all she did was bother mr lee too while he was alive like Ugshhdhcjcjcjc UGH fuck all of them and the bully??? her bf or ex bf whatever didnt get an ounce what he deserved i wanted him to get beat so badly too. he was so unnecessary andbsuch a piece of shit for no reason. all these characters were so poorly fucking written and the whole plot couldve been executed so much better. this wasnt the worst show but it was so frustrating and disappointing i hate everyone. except mr lee ugh they all should’ve fucking died and that dumbass bitch detective was so annoying too god bye good riddance to this fucking series

I need opinions! Do we agree thar Mr Lee knew Ji-soo was Uncle ? I mean he did say "We were unlucky you and I" and "I never want to see you again". I feel like he would recognize the boy he protected in the tunnel and connect the dots. If he didn't already know before.

*taps mic* okay, so extracurricular is not my most favorite drama of all time and it doesn't have to do with the show but with me, instead (i don't really like dark dramas).

but i would definitely suggest it to anyone who like dark kdramas. here's why. the characters. they are the best part of the show. they are so fucked up and you know that but you also sympathise with them and want to root for them. this is an internal battle and i love this part of any piece of art. these are some of the best characters. the main boy, oh jisoo, is pretty likeable and the show emphasizes the theme that people are more than they meet the eye. then there's the lead girl, bae gyuri, who is so ambitious that if you are anything like me, you'll want her to step on you (apart from the fact these kids are messed up, like real messed up).

and of course, the leads did such a fantastic job! im particularly in awe of park joo hyun (not only because she is pretty, very very pretty).

so all in all, i recommend!!!!
