Soy bien comprendido
Casi todos los dias
No niego mi destino
Puedo hacer que funcione
Hacer las cosas por mi mismo
No dudar
Aunque la situación se vea mal
Puedo sobrevivir
Puedo enfrentar
Aunque crezca a mi alrededor
Puedo mirar
A medias me conformo
Casi todos los días
No le busco la falta a todo
No me engaño
No me escondo ni me escapo
De mis emociones
De mis sentimientos
No negocio
Y no simulo
Y no me preocupa
Si alguna vez la vuelvo a ver
Casi todos los días
Have you seen Oh Mercy! (2019)?
Yes
No
I've never heard of this film
Listening to Oh Mercy and firstly, it’s just fantastic, I love it. Secondly, please tell me I’m not going mad, does this song sound *incredibly* George Harrison to you?!
From the unusual chord choices (flattened 6!minor 4!) to the slide guitar solo! Bob wrote a George song!!!
It’s Wilbury’s era so they were involved in this really close collaboration and it was a close time for their friendship. But I love it because you can hear Bob’s influence all over George’s music and every now and then it goes the other way too.
Lyrically imo there’s both too much and too little going on to hang specific interpretations on (and Dylan’s writing doesn’t really work that way), but it’s about grief and the space it takes up, and how it would be to meet each other there.
I liked this passage about playing music together:
We banged the drums slowly
And played the fife lowly
You know the song in my heart
In the turning of twilight
In the shadows of moonlight
You can show me a new place to start
Whatever you wanted
What could it be
Did somebody tell you
That you could get it from me
Is it something that comes natural
Is it easy to say
Why do you want it
Who are you anyway?.
It doesn't matter if it's a cover, a bootleg, or a live version. This song is a galaxy. Original borders on perfection, without the melancholy of SK . It's more like a reproach than a lament.
Nuances.
.. I'd lick clean that off, no problem 🫢
Why does my single ass feel like I’m going through a brutal breakup every time I listen to this thing
