In Uni, John had really only four friends: Mary Morstan, Rory Williams, Martha Jones and later, Michael Stamford. He studied medicine with Rory, and Martha, while Mike studied to become a chemist. They would occasionally order fish and chips to their flat.. (which yeah sure let's say they lived in the same complex) and they'd watch rugby games while Martha would drone on about how unhealthy it was to eat fish and chips four nights in a row.
