OITNB is a great way to show how anti - blackness operates tbh, like this season *everyone* was anti - black whether it was Piper & Co’s racism, Soso saying the n - word or the Latinas using anti - black slurs not to mention the racial undertones in the whole dominican vs puerto rican debate. It’s just interesting that black women have been treated like shit even in a place where they are a majority and like the writers didn’t have to make it so. Not to mention that these women are never in relationships with *each other*.... I would have loved to see Taystee and Poussey together. Also Why can’t WOC date each other why must their queerness be validated through a relationship with a white woman...And then the height of it is invalidating black lives through the whole “innocent cop” narrative which essentially is just another big fuck you to the viewers.
