Legit so touched after reading an email from the nice lady that helped me in Sweden during my internship. ;3; she's super nice and gave me a lot of encouragement. The others I've emailed were nice as well ;; my supervisor and the boss was kinda scary though because I was asking for a reference (sob) but the stories/advice the others gave me made me feel okay to be slightly clueless about the future. I'm gonna try my best and apply for everything in order to give myself a chance!!!

i actually came home yesterday about 1.30pm Sg time HAHA then stayed at the airport for some time before reaching home at 8pm

I’m not done with intern things, I still have to hand in my log book and make a poster AND attend a seminar wow.. now i’m just waiting for my teacher to email me back regarding the logbook so :v

Today was my last day of internship. It felt weird? I was walking towards Novum and i was feeling a lot of things wow. And then I walked out of Novum feeling like _(:’333
I’m kinda sad that I have to leave Sweden on Monday now though, I’m gonna miss my colleagues C’: They are all really nice people. Im gonna start babbling a lot of nonsense now so :v leave if you can eue
I learnt quite a bit of stuff during my time here, a lot more than what I could’ve learnt if I did my internship at home. But it really depends because you can either go to this science based company or help out in diagnostics in the hospital/polyclinic or something.
Research is such an interesting job to do. There’s so much lab work and experiments and it’s like wow, I don’t know if I can do that by myself really. At least I’m able to handle doing some experiments on my own now. I remember in the school lab where whenever we forget to untwist a cap of a tube or something, we could still ask out friends to do it. This time you have to do it yourself HAHA
I know I’ve gotten quicker at setting the micropipettes to the correct volumes. We have so little chances to use them in school. Sometimes because of the modules we are taking (experiments change whenever modules change) but even if we do have to use them, all experiments are group work so it doesn’t mean you get to always touch the micropipette. (I just really love micropipettes okay.. i think my favourite brand is ThermoFisher cuz of the volume adjusting knob is so easy to twist, not like the older Gilson ones that my school uses HAHAHA)
I’m definitely going to miss labwork and the nice cold weather but I can tell you I miss my shorts more. (there’s summer later in the year here but I’m alone here too so how about no C’:)
I’m excited to go home and be a NEET for a little while before going back to school. Can’t wait can’t wait! but first, I have to pack C’:
Thank you YTB group, KI/SP, and my mom and God for giving me this opportunity to learn more and experience a better work environment as opposed to pure office work (???). I wish to continue my studies and hopefully become a person that can contribute back through healthcare. It’s one of my interests and I would really like to make it my future..
Guess what? I’m on my last week
oF INTERNSHIP WOOHOO~!!!
Actually interning is quite fun, I get to learn new things and see how R&D is like. But what I want to do is go home, have a little holiday and go back to school. I miss everyone and I don’t really like living alone.
It’s not really a miracle that I’ve managed to live alone for about 2 months already since I’m pretty independent but it’s great that I didn’t really become very homesick within that period of time. C:
Lab work is really fun I guess, my favourite things are micropipettes~ I don’t know why but I really like using them. Lab work is way different from in school because you have to do all the steps of the protocol by yourself. The first few weeks I keep forgetting to open falcon tubes/reagent bottles/etc. LMAO~
It’s definitely different from doing internship at home. Kisa says she doesn’t get any lab work which is kind of boring (but office work like lamination is fun, even I agree HAHAHA)
When I get home I have to do up a presentation of what I did and how I felt, I hope it will turn out okay. But before that, I have to make a thank you card or note to the “company” (more like the research group that I was attached to). I’m not sure how to go about doing it but I was colouring something digitally so I hope its okay..
It’s only Monday of week 10 and I can’t freaking wait to go home!!! The next Monday here would be my last (for now, I may come back in the future? e u e)
I’m glad I got to come here ..
