So I saw a really old friend today. Like, middle school old. 

It’s been almost 6 years since we’ve spoken. We use to be best friends back in 4th-6th grade but we kinda found our own group of friends and drifted apart. But I was at Kohl’s today and I was looking at watches (bc I love watches) and I hear my name called out. And I’m all “I don’t recognize that voice??” (At least I didn’t recognize it currently. Like I said, we haven’t spoken for years.) So I look up and I see her and at first I’m all, “Who are you and why do you know my name.” But then as she gets closer I recognize that smile and I flashback to her being like 12 years old and I’m all “WOAH WTF.” Like literally she doesn’t look any different other than the fact that her hair is a little more red but she still adorable as I remember her back in the day. 

So turns out she works there and she wanted to say hi. I’m guessing she had to get back to work cause we didn’t get to talk for very long. 

But I’m surprised that she was able to remember me at all?? Like, yeah we were best friends but I’ve changed. A lot. I mean I probably got a little chubbier and I’m completely changed my style of clothing, and my hair obviously got shorter since the last time we’ve seen each other in person but wow. I’m a little touched she was able to recognize me so easily. She said my face was the same and I act like the same old me as back then. 

Like usually I’m so fucking awkward talking to people I see randomly but talking with her was so smooth like it was back in 6th grade we were just talking so smoothly. I wish we had more time to catch up. I would have love to talk some more.

i wrote this i had a lot of drinks (ok so its bad ok) but i cant draw so deal with my terrible writing as i describe Rhode because Rhodochrosite is cool and junk and i put a lot of thought into this OKAY (i had to do it all story ish cuz otherwise i get bored and dont finish >.>)

She stood upon a rocky outcropping, overlooking the vast and endless ocean glittering in the morning sunlight. A soft gust swept by, pulling the tall, broad shouldered woman's cloak along with it in an uncharacteristic dramatic flair. Bright, hot pink caught the sunlight as the matching cloak was pulled open, sunlight reflecting off the woman's outfit which appeared rather standard for anyone on Earth, sans the cloak. 

A deep, black T-shirt covered the woman's broad chest and waist, depictions of beautiful pink roses growing upon a long, endless stem that looked more like a vine wrapping about the fabric: covering her back in a beautiful display of bright color, the bottom of the shirt flaring out past her hips. Hanging off her hips clung a beautiful skirt, the fabric reaching down to her knees, simply a matching black in color, but held in place by a pink colored belt that matched the roses on her shirt. 

What stood out the most about her, however, was her bright pink hair that draped slightly over her right eye, the rest falling into untamed curls just above her shoulder. Not the most kept hair, but she didn't mind -- the wind always liked to toss it around and play with it as it pleased, though the soft curls and waves in her hair rather resembled delicate flowers; in fact, she had a clip holding some of her hair away from her left eye that was topped with the familiar pale pink rose that seemed to adorn her very essence. 

"Such a long walk," she sighed contentedly in a low but soothing voice, closing her smoky pink eye and running a pale pink hand through her hair, briefly pulling the strands away from her right eye which seemed different from the left. The iris of her left eye swirled and held a strange shape, one that looked elevated from her eye in general -- the woman's gem; Rhodochrosite. The particular

adornment the woman had manifesting within her right eye flowed and flaked so that it could appear like it was made of petals instead of a mineral, flaring out from the center and looking all too similar to a rose -- the catalyst for her attire and interest in the plant, to begin with. 

With a light smile of her soft, dark pink lips, the woman wiped some sand off her petite nose before stepping forward and off the outcropping, landing with a thematic flair in the sand, the heels of her black shoes digging into the sand, her black thigh highs with the same rose and vine design wrapping about her legs as on her shirt, getting slightly dusted with the sand.
