I didn’t know you were back in the World of the Living,’ Ananse said on the side to Anokye.     The waiter laughed. ‘And I didn’t know you were still part of it.’ Ananse laughed richly, and Anokye felt a slice of that old trickster in that action. ‘There’s no palm wine on the Other Side. Unless the spirits fix that I’m not paying for the ferry across the River Way.’      ‘It really is a bother,’ Anokye admitted with a pragmatic tone. ‘I wonder how they do it. It was one thing that motivated me during my entire time there to get back with my tongue in one piece. The taste of palm wine,’ and then he sighed, ‘is unrivalled. Strangely, I have not had any since I have been back. It is funny, but I feel like I should save myself. For what? I do not yet know.’      ‘So distasteful,’ Kyerekye said suddenly and haughtily, ‘a shaman who limits himself to worldly things like palm wine. Appalling is what it is.’      ‘My priests and priestesses drink palm wine,’ Miss Otu added after swallowing a large piece. ‘I allow it.’      She was ignored.
