It's that time of the year, I couldn't help but draw Eden Starling and Chuzzy!

I'm not actually religious, but Christmas time always brings back memories of me and my sisters huddled together in the living room, watching "Barbie A Christmas Carol". It's no coincidence that it's my favourite holiday movie, and also one of my favourite Barbie movies as well.

I tried being generous to Chuzzlewit, since his appearance in the movie is a bit... funny!

My wife said he looks a bit too much like Jim Carey lmao. What do you say?

I found yesterday my old Barbie dolls. I liked to take bath with them, so most had damaged, matted hair. I did some research and found tips as to how to restore them with hot water. Since I styled a wig once, it made sense to put the hair into boiling water,so I decided to try that (with some fabric softening detergent).

It worked!

I tried it first on the oldest doll I have, she looked like this:

And after the wash:

So I decided to all the other dolls as well. One small used to have two buns which I removed ages ago and it looked like this:

After dipping in boiling water and combing I got this:

But then I remembered I curled my wig, so I decided to try and restore her curls

I dipped teh curls in the hot water, then put the doll into the freezer and heeere we are:

Of course those dolls are not like new, but they look definitely better and hey, from what I googled, most of them is from 1990-1995.

I'm pleased with the overall result.
