A long weekend just started so I went to the local grocer to buy a couple of Peroni. Wandering the aisles I happened upon a somewhat younger trio buying drink, presumably in 330 ml bottles, and presumably for a larger group:
“What’s 330 times ten?” “Er… call it three thousand…” “Ok. Um, divide by eleven..?”
And then a perplexed silence.
I just said “three hundred” as I walked past and three jaws hit the floor. Tell me that that standard of education is not normal.
