I felt nostalgic about food recently especially the food served at what was once a small eatery we call "We Deliver" that offers purely silog meals. Silog is a portmanteau of sinangag (fried rice) and itlog (egg) and often paired with another fried food. My personal favorite is the burgersilog which is served using a commercial burger patty. "We Deliver" is not exactly the name of the eatery but we call it that because of the signage in its front door. Unfortunately, We Deliver is among the victims of gentrification in the area. What was once a quaint and lively eatery is now a Starbucks.
