I get to meet wonderful people teaching #aerialyoga including @maggie_turnermiguel_yoga - Maggie is an strong and vibrant #olderyogi who was originally drawn to the playful and strengthening aspects of aerial yoga but now feels the benefits of a more restorative practice. ‘Since my illness and my nephew’s death earlier this year I’ve embraced the hammock differently - or really just spent more time ‘hanging’ and embracing the security of it. So my aerial yoga practice has been some stretching and flipping, but I’ve been loving setting up a guided meditation while I cocoon myself in the hammock. It’s been a saving grace’ I’m so grateful that movements Maggie learned in my classes have helped her through some tough times - this is the true benefit of a yoga practice. Maggie is on a mission to inspire other yogis #oversixty to try new things and #growolddisgracefully - check out her feed - lots of inspiration for all ages!! Thanks so much for letting us film and share your practice @maggie_turnermiguel_yoga and gorgeous cameo profile by @viviennehalat 💖 #gardenofyoga #aerialyogalove #thisiswhatayogilookslike #yogaforall #restorativeaerialyoga #restorativeyoga #meditation #yogaforeverybody #yogaforallages (at Garden of Yoga Northcote) https://www.instagram.com/p/BniP6gfDNUu/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=iyhcy2xs3glo
